It is listed in the "Dictionary of Chinese Places of Interest" for its unique architectural style, long history and splendid cultural heritage.

Kuaige is located on the campus of Taihe Middle School on the east side of Taihe County. This attic was built in the first year of Qianfu (874) in the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,100 years. It was originally a place dedicated to the Western Cishi (commonly known as Guanyin Master), and was named "Cishi Pavilion". In the early Song Dynasty, when Dr. Shen Zun of Taichang was appointed as the magistrate of Taihe County, he changed the name to "Kuai Pavilion" because he was well-connected with the government and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment. He often climbed the pavilion to overlook the distance and felt relaxed and happy. It is said in history: "The pavilion is called Kuai, and it is said to be self-satisfied."

Kuaige is famous all over the world, starting from the famous poem "Ascending Kuai Ge" by the great poet Huang Tingjian of the Song Dynasty. Huang Tingjian (1045-1105), courtesy name Lu Zhi, also known as Valley Taoist, was born in Fenning, Hongzhou (now Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province). He was the leader of the Jiangxi Poetry School. Famous ones include Lu You, Wen Tianxiang and Yang Wanli in the Southern Song Dynasty, Liu E in the Yuan Dynasty, Wang Zhi and Luo Qinshun in the Ming Dynasty, Gao Yong in the Qing Dynasty, etc. There are hundreds of poems chanted in the past dynasties, among which Wen Tianxiang's "Prisoner's Sutra, Taihe Looking Up at Kuai Pavilion" is the most famous poem after Huang Tingjian's "Deng Kuai Pavilion" poem. In October 1278, the national hero Wen Tianxiang was defeated in Guangdong and was captured by the Yuan people. He was imprisoned in a ship and taken to Dadu. When the boat passed Taihe, Wen Tianxiang saw Kuai Pavilion, and as if he met his fellow villagers from Luling, he wrote "The Imprisoned Sutra: Taihe Looking Up at Kuai Pavilion" to express his sadness: "The scholar once embraced the green oil building, but he was ashamed to stand in front of the crowd. I went to Kuai Pavilion several times during the Han Festival. I am loyal to the emperor and my ministers. I am afraid that my parents will know that I am thin, and I will sit under the curtain."
