Jinghong is the seal engraver who has carved the most books since the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Who's Jing Hong? Traveling to the south more than ten years ago, I carved a "totem seal" for 1.3 million strangers for free ... Now I live in Xinzao Town, Panyu, and am a master of totem seal cutting in China. Recently, he collected these tens of thousands of seals with unique design style and vivid pictures into two thick books, Wanjia Seal Code, becoming the seal engraver with the largest number of seals since the founding of the People's Republic of China.

A meat cleaver travels around the world.

More than 50 years ago, Xiao Jinghong learned to draw and write with the calligrapher's father in Dalian, and occasionally carved a stone for fun.

Unconsciously, he fell in love with seal cutting, carved for decades in a flash, and met many famous artists.

12 years ago, Jing, who used to be an amateur seal cutter in Northeast China, gave up his stable job as an editor of a newspaper in Northeast China and drove a "caravan" converted from a minibus. From north to south, every time he collected a unique name, he immediately created it for passers-by with a seal cutting machine and traveled all over the world with a carving knife.

1999 "caravan" arrived in Guangzhou. He found that Guangzhou people were too enthusiastic, and many people loved printing. They made appointments every day, so he stayed until today.

Wanjiayin entered the book.

His seal is very special, such as the seal for lovers designed according to the concept of "Yin and Yang complement each other" in Zhouyi. Both seals are engraved on the same stone. On the one hand, Zhu Wen shows the vitality of men, on the other hand, Yin Wen shows the smooth curve of women. Pictographic design expresses the complementary harmony and happiness between two couples.

"The seal is a sign of a person, and the font design should be different from this person's personality, just like this person." Jing Hong said that his seal design has injected many ethnic things, such as Zhouyi, the Five Elements, astronomy, geography, nature and other ideas and elements. In order to "print like a person", Jing Hong will consult historical materials such as Shuo Wen Jie Zi, genealogy and family emblem to understand the origin of word formation and names.

In June this year, Jinghong compiled1more than 3,000 pieces of 10' s "Ten Thousand-Year Seal" which was created and carved for free for many years. This "Ten Thousand Seals" has collected the names of thousands of ordinary people in Qian Qian and seals carved for famous domestic artists such as Cang Kejia, Qin Mu and Liu Sifen, and has become the most engraved seal cutting work since the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In a spacious classroom of Xincheng Cultural Center, boxes filled with creative pictographic seal scripts are scattered on the blackboard.

It turns out that two months ago, Jing Hong was a student in Xinzhuang Town and volunteered to teach him the seal cutting skills he had accumulated for many years. So far, there are more than 20 students in the seal cutting class, ranging from teenagers to people in their sixties.

"Almost all of them have no foundation and learn from scratch." Jing Hong said that writing seal script does not require high calligraphy skills, and whether seal cutting is exquisite or not mainly depends on the creativity of the seal carver.

According to reports, students in Xinjian town generally get started quickly. Some mothers bring their sons to study, but they are crazy about seal cutting.
