Xi Siyuan College is an ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and a demonstration workstation college for postgraduate joint training approved by the Eighth Hall Committee of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. It is also the first private university in Shaanxi Province to be allowed to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The college was established in 1998.
