Introduction of painting and calligraphy channel

The painting and calligraphy channel was approved by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television with document GF [2005]2 15. The only professional TV channel of painting and calligraphy in China was jointly founded by People's Republic of China (PRC), Ministry of Culture, China Culture Promotion Association and Zhongguangya Communication Information Network Co., Ltd. SHPD is the English abbreviation of painting and calligraphy channel, which was founded in July 2006 18. The painting and calligraphy channel covers the whole country by the central digital platform of Asia-4 satellite and broadcasts 24 hours a day.
