Zheng Bangyan (?-1141) was named Guocai. A native of Huangyu Village, Liushi Town, Yueqing City, Zhejiang Province. He is an extensive reader of classics, especially the Book of Changes, and his calligraphy is vigorous. In the year 1118 of the Song Dynasty and the Reform Movement of 1898, Wang Ang was ranked as a Jinshi, and he was awarded teachings in Cangzhou and Taizhou, but Ding You did not go there. During the Xuanhe period (February 1119-1125), he presided over the Yueqing Township School, and more than a hundred Confucian students visited it. Later, he served as the eunuch of Wuzhou, where he devoted himself to cultivating talents and gained a great reputation. In the eleventh year of Emperor Gaozong's reign in Shaoxing, and in the first year of Emperor Jin's reign (1141), he died in Wuzhou and took up his post.
