In the stormy course of nearly a hundred years, the Academy of Fine Arts has adhered to the school-running philosophy of "deep beauty", attached importance to teaching research and discipline construction, and developed into a comprehensive fine arts discipline with complete majors (directions) such as Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, mural painting, illustration, lacquer painting, calligraphy, sculpture and fine arts. 198 1 year and 1986 were successively identified by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of units awarding master's and doctoral degrees, and it is the only comprehensive art college in China that awards doctoral degrees in fine arts. It has formed its own characteristics and advantages in teacher structure, scientific research and creation, teaching management, academic research and discipline construction, and has a wide influence in the same type of colleges, disciplines or professional fields in China.
