Extended data:
In the fourth year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 134), Yue Yun, aged 16, went to war with his father and recovered Suizhou and Dengzhou occupied by the State of Jin. In this battle, Yue Yun, armed with an iron cone gun, was brave and invincible, and took the lead in boarding Suizhou City, which was already invincible. Later, he went north with the army and recovered Dengzhou. From then on, the army called him "the winner".
From then on, Yue Yun became one of the most important generals in Gui Jun and played a proper role. In all previous battles against the Jin Puppet Army, in the battle to wipe out Yang Yao and stabilize the rear, he made great contributions, but most of them were concealed by his father. Yue Yun didn't complain. The imperial court also tried many times to give Yue Yun an official position, but Yue Fei wrote that his son still stinks, fearing that he might not be able to do military work, and resolutely refused the reward given by the imperial court to Yue Yun.
