On the Combination of Poetry Calligraphy and Literati Calligraphy

The combination of poetry and books, the combination of double swords, has one word, that is, combination. Poetry provides a lot of writing content for calligraphy, and calligraphy expands the expression space for poetry. The two are interdependent and complement each other.

I began to write poems when I was in college more than 30 years ago, but I wrote new poems. Later, due to work reasons, I turned to calligraphy and painting criticism.

Deep down, poetry has always occupied an important position. I have been devoted to the creation of metrical poems for years, because I think metrical poems are the most attractive part of China traditional culture? Yin Gao in Pingxian Hall contains 60 metrical poems/kloc-0 written in recent years. Poetry and calligraphy are like twin sisters, which are inseparable. Poetry provides a lot of writing content for calligraphy, and calligraphy expands the expression space for poetry. Poems and manuscripts, especially the most common forms of literati calligraphy, are beautiful. Since the 1980s, calligraphy has ushered in a renaissance, and the public's enthusiasm for calligraphy has continued to rise. It can be said that calligraphy is both an elite culture and a popular culture. Poetry is of course an elite culture, but it is difficult to become a popular culture. Poetry has been neglected for a long time. Although it cannot be expected that there will be a mass upsurge in poetry, it carries too many cultural genes. Metric poetry is very important for the revival of China culture and should usher in a new spring. Many modern masters of painting and calligraphy attach great importance to poetry cultivation, such as Huang, Lu, Bai Jiao, Pan Tianshou and Qi Baishi? When they talk about artistic achievements, they always emphasize themselves without exception? Poetry first? . Scholars of all ages regarded calligraphy as a matter of appealing to both refined and popular tastes. In their minds, poetry is the most important, which is related to the unique aesthetic way and life feelings of traditional China literati. The main purpose of publishing this collection of poems is to make friends with poems, so as to consult teachers and local experts more widely. At the same time, I insist on the creation of metrical poems for a long time to increase my confidence. It can also be said that writing poetry is a pursuit of literati's life state.

What is poetry like? Useless? Yes, is it? Useless? Mainly spiritual needs, spiritual sublimation and spiritual comfort.

Attaching importance to metrical poetry and advocating literati calligraphy are unified in essential pursuit. It is precisely because of the increasingly impetuous and utilitarian tendency in contemporary book circles that I devoted myself to calligraphy criticism. It is obviously useless to rely solely on criticism, which needs to be rebuilt. The most important thing is to advocate literati calligraphy. Letters, poems and manuscripts are the most basic forms of literati calligraphy.

Learning poetry and calligraphy are interlinked, and both pay attention to orderly inheritance and mastery of laws. What do you mainly study in calligraphy? Two kings? Along the way, there are other things involved, including the Han tablet. Poetry is mainly based on learning from Tang people, but also involves Song poetry and Qing poetry. Only by dabbling extensively can we find our own position and style. Calligraphy is regular, and metrical poems are organized. Learning poetry should follow the ancient times. If you can't even do the minimum rules, you can't write poetry.
