Guo Dahua, pen name Geng Fu, born in Guzhen County, Anhui Province, 1934, worked in Suzhou Judicial Bureau before retirement. He was trained by the imperial court since he was a child, and began to pursue the art of calligraphy when he was 6 years old. Guo Dahua studied calligraphy for more than half a century, insisting on the method of calligraphy, first learning from Tang Kai, and then chasing the ink of Han, Wei, Song and Ming Dynasties. He studied hard and worked hard, unified the tradition of learning from others and explored new paths.
