"Jade curtain scattered for a long time." Yulian Spring Waterfall is hundreds of feet high and eight or nine feet wide. From a distance, it really looks like a curtain made of jade beads and crystals. Yulian Spring is obviously different from other waterfalls in Lushan Waterfall Group. It is not as turbulent and scary as Shimenjian Waterfall, nor as exquisite and charming as Wulongtan Waterfall, but it belongs to the waterfall with a few feet above it and smoke below it. Yulianquan Waterfall is in mid-air, turning into plumes of smoke and flying freely because of the wind. Under the sunshine, the neon is looming, and the jade curtain turns into a colorful bead curtain, which falls into the pool, like pouring large and small pearls into a plate of jade, and the waterfall sounds crisp and pleasant. This scenery is reminiscent of the famous Yandang Dalong Waterfall. In contrast, Yu Lian's waterfalls are charming and soft, which makes people feel pity.
The Yulianquan Waterfall, which runs day and night, seems to tell tourists a long and beautiful legend:
According to legend, on the Shijing Peak, the source of Yu Lian Spring, there is a bright round stone with a mirror-smooth surface. Visitors can see their hair and beards. This pebble is a precious mirror used by Yu Zhen's fairy to make up. One day, the fairy Yu Zhen hung the book on the top of the stone mirror to make it look brand-new. The mirror unexpectedly reflected the overlapping peaks of Shannan Mountain, and Qingxi Spring Waterfall was overjoyed. She quickly called the other fairies to watch the beautiful scenery in the mirror, but in a blink of an eye, the treasure book no longer existed and became a round stone embedded in the cliff. Therefore, the local people named this mountain with treasures as Shijingfeng. From then on, Shi Jingfeng became famous, and celebrities and monks from all over the world came in an endless stream. Li Bai, Wang Xizhi and others have also visited here.
Today, there is a natural cave next to the deep pool under the Yulianquan Waterfall, which can accommodate more than 10 people. There are remains of stone houses at the mouth of the cave. According to legend, Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher in the Jin Dynasty, studied calligraphy here, and the light and scattered Yulian Spring floated down and merged into a beautiful Shijingxi. The Song Dynasty poet Wang Youshi praised the book of songs Westward Journey:
There is a mirror stone on the mountain as a platform, and the clouds are hidden and unwilling to open.
Don't have a mirror-clear stream, so you don't need to brush the dust manually.
There is a goose pond in the stream, where Wang Xizhi once raised a flock of geese for fun. Wang Xizhi wandered by the stream in Chi Pan every day, and carefully observed the various styles of geese swimming in the water, probably to understand the calligraphy. Sometimes, according to the moving posture of wild geese playing in the water, several vivid pictures of wild geese playing in the water are drawn. The white goose jumped out of the picture and flew away in the air. Therefore, the name of the goose cave comes from this. It is said that there is also a big "Qu" in the cave, written by Wang Xizhi himself. In modern times, some people say that mottled "bends" have been found in the grass moss wall, which makes later tourists look around every time they visit this cave. In fact, this word no longer exists today.
In addition, in Yulianquan Waterfall Scenic Area, there are many beautiful and moving legends such as Xinglin Spring Warm and Song Fusheng.
