In the 2th year of Jiajing (AD 1541), Li Yuanyang, a well-known scholar in Dali, retired from Jingzhou as a magistrate and returned to his hometown. "I can't live in the house, I don't do business, and I give myself generously." It took me 3 years to rebuild Chongsheng Temple. He fell in love with Chongsheng Temple and was buried behind it after his death. He wrote many inscriptions on Chongsheng Temple, the most famous of which is "The Treasurer of Chongsheng Temple". He said: "There are five heavy weapons in the temple: one is the Three Pagodas, the other is the Hong Zhong, the third is the statue of Guanyin in Yutong, the fourth is the Taoist Song, the Buddha is flat, and the fifth is the golden statue of three saints". He also said: "This five-fold weapon is unparalleled in the world." What is a heavy weapon? A heavy weapon is a treasure. "Mencius? Liang Hui Wang Xia said: "Destroy its ancestral temple and move its heavy weapons."
needless to say, these five treasures are three towers. The middle tower, which was built in the period of abundant support in Nanzhao, rises into the clouds, and the two small towers built in the Five Dynasties are inward-looking, which has always been a symbol of Dali civilization. The gate of Chongsheng Temple is close to the west of the tower, and a huge plaque is hung directly above the gate, with the word "Buddha Capital" in the book. This is the original work of Yuanhu Zen Master in Cangshan Nianan in the Yuan Dynasty. Yuan Hu is a native of Dali, and the general manager of Dali respectfully calls him the master of Hong Debate. Legend has it that his calligraphy is the same as Zhao Meng's brushwork, which shows that his brushwork is exquisite; According to legend, his right hand is "crystal clear" from elbow to wrist, so it is called "Jade Wrist Zen Master" in the world. In addition to the word "Buddha capital", the master's handwriting also includes the stone tablet of "Zheng Dao Ge" and the inscription of Dachongsheng Temple written by Li Daoyuan. Song of Proverbs is also called Song of Proverbs in Yongjia and Song of Proverbs in Yongjia Zhenjue Zen Master. Quan Yi Volume. Tang Yongjia Xuanjue (665 ~ 713). Collected in the forty-eighth volume of Dazheng Tibetan. Xuanjue began to learn Tiantai, and later heard Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, so he changed to Zen Buddhism and wrote this lyric. There are 247 sentences in the full text, each sentence is mostly seven words, with 1814 words (267 sentences with 1817 words), and the genre is classical poetry, or four or six sentences with one solution, only 51 solutions, revealing the essence of its enlightenment. The date of writing is presumed to be the fifth year of Shenlong (AD 75). Narrating the true essence of Zen in a beautiful style is the swan song of Zen literature, so it is widely loved by Zen scholars. Entering the gate of Chongsheng Temple, there is a bell tower in front of you, which is called "Shengguan Building", "Cragginess and vastness, eight windows and caves, thousands of village fireworks, hundreds of miles of fields, mountains and waves, empty in a glance". In the middle of the building hangs a bell with a diameter of more than ten feet and a thickness of nearly one foot. The clock has six sides, which are divided into two upper floors: the upper floor is two feet five inches high and two feet two inches wide, and each side is cast with six paramotomies of gold; Each side of the lower floor is about one foot three inches high and more than one foot three inches wide, and each side is cast with four statues of the heavenly kings, as well as the inscription "Wei Jianji was twelve years old and Xin Mao was cast in March, Ding Weishuo and Geng Wu on the 24th". Therefore, it is called "building a great clock", which is well-made, "big and elegant, and the sound is far and wide", and "it is the first to stop the clock from falling", that is, except for the clock in the palace, it is the first in the world. The bell can be heard in a hundred miles, and the couplets upstairs described it: "Knock loudly, knock loudly, and sleep in a dream;" One Buddha at a time, a thousand buddhas at a time, far away from the outside world. " Residents in Dali said: "One party is sleepy in the morning and regards it as a festival." Every time the bell rings, Jason Chung, the clock of the 36 Temple in Diancang Mountain, echoes together, making the land of Canger, a "wonderful Buddha country", filled with solemn atmosphere. Therefore, "Zhong Zhen Buddha Capital" is known as the best of "Sixteen Scenes of Ye Yu". There is Guanyin Pavilion in the west of the bell tower, also known as Guanyin Hall, with nine pagodas in the north and south, which is magnificent and exquisite. The bronze statue of Guanyin in the temple is twenty-four feet high, with a thin waist and feet, which is called Wu Daozi's painting style. Legend has it that when the monks of the temple raised bronze statues, they were cast in three sections, and the bronze was finished below the shoulders. Just as the monks were at a loss, it rained with copper at night. The monk of the temple melted it and cast the Buddha's head with it, like copper, so it was named "Rain Copper Guanyin". The golden statues of the three saints are in the Hall of Blissful Happiness, and they are one foot high and cast between Jiajing and Jingjing. According to legend, it's sunny in midsummer, and people are at a loss, and suddenly the clouds are like a cover, covering the casting place alone. Like a vanishing cloud, everyone was surprised.
With these five treasures, the reputation of Chongsheng Temple, the inner Dojo of Nanzhao, has been spread far and wide for thousands of years. Unfortunately, they all disappeared in the wind and rain of the years and disappeared.
