What did you write before?
Ladies and gentlemen:
Hello everyone! Welcome to Nanyue Hengshan. If you have any questions or requirements, please let me know and I will try my best to help you. I wish everyone a pleasant trip to Fengshan.
Dear friends, if you have ever been depressed by the pressure of work, if you have ever been worried about physical illness, then today, you can put all your troubles and unhappiness aside, because you are about to appreciate , Nanyue Hengshan Scenic Area is famous for being "the most beautiful among the five mountains".
Hengshan is located in the central part of Hunan Province, spanning six counties and cities including Hengyang, Hengshan, Hengdong, Xiangxiang, Xiangtan, and Changsha. It spans 800 miles and has 72 peaks. In the cold weather, I returned to Yanfeng in Hengyang, where I stopped to sit in the maple forest at night, and the frost leaves were as red as the flowers in February in the Yuelu Mountain in Changsha. The main peak, Zhurong Peak, is 1,290 meters above sea level and stands out among the hills of central and southern Hunan. "See all the mountains and small ones at a glance". Hengshan is like a piece of Hunan embroidery, with a clear view of Chutian and Xiangshui; it is also like a scroll, with thick and light colors, unparalleled in the world; it is more like a poem, with high sighs and low voices, endless aftertaste.
There are many legends about the origin of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. Pangu created the world, and after his death he turned into mountains, rivers and trees, his head turned into Dongyue Mount Tai, his feet turned into Xiyue Mount Huashan, his belly turned into Zhongyue Mount Songshan, his right arm turned into Beiyue Mount Hengshan, and his left arm turned into Nanyue Mount Hengshan; the other is that China One of the ancestors, Emperor Yan Shennong, chased the fairy bird in style and knocked the red bird down to Nanyue with his divine whip. Therefore, the archway you see at the entrance of Nanyue Ancient Town is painted with the pattern of the lost bird. The "Red Bird" in the Nanyue mountain emblem is also named after the mountain. Come. Ancient people often used sky and star charts for divination. It is said that "the sky has stars, and the earth has states and cities." According to the "Star Book", Nanyue is located on the Wings of Zhenxing in the 28th Constellation, and is known as the "Hengxing" that weighs the heaven and earth, so it was named "Hengshan". There is a "Changsha" star next to Zhen star, which is responsible for human life span. Hengshan Mountain belonged to Changsha in ancient times, so it is also known as "Shouyue Mountain". People often say "Shoubinan Mountain" comes from the mountain.
Passing through Nanyue Ancient Town, you are greeted by a group of magnificent palace-style buildings. This is the "Nanyue Temple", known as the "Jiangnan Little Forbidden City".
Nanyue Temple is a key protected cultural relic in Hunan Province. It was first built in the early Tang Dynasty, thousands of years ago. Since then, it has experienced 6 fires and 16 reconstructions in Song, Yuan, Qing and other dynasties. The Ruicun Building was rebuilt in the sixth year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of ??76,800 square meters. Along the central axis, there are Lingxing Gate, Kuixing Pavilion, Chuanmen, Yubei Pavilion, Jiaying Gate, Yushu Tower, main hall, bedroom and North Gate. The back door leads to the fourth courtyard.
What everyone is crossing now is the Shoujian Bridge. In front of it is the south main gate of Nanyue Temple - Lingxing Gate. "Lingxing" is one of the ancient constellations, which is responsible for the prosperity of the country. The temple named after "Lingxing" naturally hopes that our country will have talents in large numbers and all industries will prosper.
After passing through Lingxing Gate, the building we came to was called "Kui Xing Pavilion". Kuixing is Kuixing who is in charge of literature and art. Kuixing Pavilion was often used as a stage in ancient times. During festivals and sacrifices, some theater troupes would perform some traditional local operas on the stage, such as "Kui Xing Point Number One Scholar", "Five Sons Deng Ke", "Qiu Hu Opera Wife" and so on. The lower part was crowded with villagers who came from all over the country, and it was very lively. Careful friends may have noticed that there are four holes the size of copper coins on the cornerstone of Kuixing Pavilion. What are these for? By the way, it can produce cries and enhance the music effect. This shows how smart the working people in ancient my country were! After passing through Sichuan Gate, Yubei Pavilion, Jiaying Gate and Yushu Tower, we came to the main hall. The main hall is also called the Holy Emperor Hall and is dedicated to the Holy Emperor and Fire God Zhu Rong. The Holy Emperor's Hall is 21 meters high, 54 meters wide and 35 meters deep. It is the tallest and largest building in the temple and the center of the temple. As you can see, it is supported by 72 granite pillars, which symbolize the seventy-two peaks of Nanyue. Two of them are hewn from a single stone and weigh 28,000 kilograms, and the other 70 are made of two sections. In the center of the hall is a shrine surrounded by four dragons and two phoenixes. The clay statue of the Holy Emperor is placed in it. It is 6.3 meters high, wearing a crown and sitting upright with a scepter. It looks majestic and resplendent. Standing on the left and right are the two generals King Wu and Six ministers.

As you can see, there is a Taoist Temple of Wealth to the east of the Holy Emperor Hall and a Buddhist Temple to the west. Guanyin Hall, so what kind of religion does Nanyue follow? This is the major feature of Nanyue Hengshan - the glory of Buddhism and Taoism. Taoism was introduced to Nanyue in the Western Jin Dynasty, and Buddhism flowed in from the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The two religions have always coexisted and flourished in the back of the mountain. On the mountain, there are not only Huangting Temple, where my country's first female Taoist "Mrs. Nanyue" Wei Huacun practiced Taoism, but also Fuyan Temple and Nantai Temple, the birthplace of the five southern sects of Zen Buddhism, and Shangfeng Temple, which was Taoist first and then Buddhist, etc., two of China's two famous temples. Two major religious cultures have achieved harmonious unity here.
Dear tourists, after walking through the palace and the north back gate, leaving the temple, we came to the climbing point of the main peak of Nanyue Hengshan Mountain. The granite gate in front is called "Victory Square", which was built in 1947 to commemorate the Anti-Japanese War. Built for victory. There is a couplet engraved on the square: "The Seventy-two Peaks are like avoiding the heroes, taking advantage of the odds first, and being the mainstay; the five continents, allies and friends, fighting against each other, and world peace." From this, we can vaguely imagine the majestic towering flames of war. years. The original couplet was written by Wang Dongyuan, Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Government of the Kuomintang, and was destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution". The current couplet is written by the famous book publisher Xinwo's left hand.
Dear friends, from now on, we will embark on the road to the top. Before that, please allow me to remind you of a few things to note: As a famous scenic spot, Hengshan is located in a natural forest area. Climbing and breaking flowers and trees and smoking and lighting fires are strictly prohibited. Let us protect this beautiful nature together. ! The climate of Nanyue is known as the "Three Heavens", that is, "the sky below the mountain, the sky on the mountainside, and the sky on the top of the mountain." The temperature difference between each sky is about 3 degrees. Please be sure to bring some warm clothes for backup! Although driving roads and pedestrian trails have been built on the mountain, there are still some steep areas. Please pay attention and look after each other! Okay, everything is ready, let's head towards the most gorgeous movement of Hengshan - the main peak Zhurong Peak!
Friends, Nanyue Hengshan Mountain is famous for its beautiful scenery among the five mountains, and is known as "the most beautiful among the five mountains". So where is the "show"? The beauty lies in the trees on the mountain, the grass on the slopes, and the green as far as the eye can see! Everyone has seen along the way that Hengshan Mountain is densely wooded and lush. Nanyue is rich in plant resources, with more than 600 tree species and a forest area of ??more than 300,000 acres. There are also many famous and ancient trees: there is a ginkgo tree in Fuyan Temple that is said to have been ordained by Zen Master Huisi in the Six Dynasties. It is more than 1,400 years old. , the tree needs three people to hug it; the white magnolia behind the Sutra Hall has a history of more than 500 years; the money tree of Yun Chunting, "growing from the same root" and "connecting branches" in the unhindered forest are also relatively rare.
Okay, you may be a little tired after climbing a mountain, right? Then let's take a break here. What you see in front of you is one of the earliest and largest Anti-Japanese War memorial sites built in my country. It is also the only large-scale Anti-Japanese War memorial cemetery preserved by the Nationalist Government in the mainland - the Martyrs' Shrine.
The Zhonglie Shrine was built in 1939 and completed in 1942. The cemetery is imitated in the layout of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing. It faces south and faces north, and is built against the mountain. It is symmetrical from left to right and has clear layers. There are five buildings along the central axis, which are 320 meters long and about 60 meters wide. There are 13 large martyrs' mausoleums around them, where soldiers from the Ninth and Sixth War Zones of the Kuomintang who died in the Anti-Japanese War are buried. This is the main entrance of the Martyrs' Shrine in front. It is an arched three-door archway with double eaves. Right above it is inlaid with a white marble door plaque with the name of the shrine. The five gold-plated characters "Nanyue Martyrs' Shrine" on it were written by the former commander of the Ninth War Zone of Kuomintang. Inscribed by Xue Yue, Chief Executive and Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Government.
Entering the Martyrs’ Shrine, the first thing that catches your eye is the peculiar “July 7 Monument”. The stele is an all-granite structure, consisting of five inverted cannonballs, one large, one small, one on top, symbolizing the unity of the sons and daughters of the Han, Manchu, Mongolian, Hui and Tibetan ethnic groups to resist foreign aggression. The base of the stele is composed of The eye-catching characters "Qiqi" are engraved on it, which is intended to alert all Chinese people to never forget the pain of national humiliation!
Passing through the memorial hall, what everyone sees is a green grassy hillside with stone steps on both sides, divided into 9 floors. The six large characters "National Loyalty and Martyrdom through the Ages" are inlaid in marble on the grass. Set against the nearby green pines and cypresses, it looks even more solemn and awe-inspiring. Friends, let us continue to move upward with admiration and remembrance.
Okay, now we have climbed to the highest point of the Martyrs' Shrine - the platform of the auditorium. Did anyone pay attention to counting the stone steps under their feet just now? Yes, level 276. Why is it a number? This is specially arranged to commemorate the 276 mid-level and senior officers who died in the 9th and 6th theaters. So, where are the souls of these heroes? This is the last time you enter the building - the Xiangtang.
Xiangtang is the most important building of Zhonglie and the main place for sacrificial activities in the past. On the main entrance is a plaque of "Martyrs' Shrine" written by Chiang Kai-shek himself. Please take a closer look. Is there any problem? Yes, there is a little bit missing under the word "fierce". Why is there less? There are many theories here: one is that Chiang Kai-shek hopes to sacrifice less in future wars; another is that he plans to make up for it after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War; another is that it is an artistic treatment in calligraphy. Different people have different opinions. The Xiangtang is in the shape of a "ten" and can accommodate 500 people. There is a Buddhist altar and the "General Shrine of the Fallen Anti-Japanese Soldiers" on the front. Its inscription was inscribed by Xue Yue in 1942. The wonderful thing is that it can be read clearly regardless of whether it is read horizontally or vertically, left or right. The full text is: "We respectfully established the Martyr's Shrine to honor the God of Martyrdom. I cherish the soul of Martyr Zhong and swear to succeed the God of Martyrdom." There are now a large number of pictures and materials of the Anti-Japanese War displayed in the hall. You can take a look for yourself.
Okay, after the rest, we continue to climb. In front of this is the Banshan Pavilion, which is named because it is exactly halfway from Nanyue Town to the top of Zhurong Peak. There are also the "Sword Testing Stone" left by Huang Chao, the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Tang Dynasty, and the "Shifang Xuandu Temple" where the Hunan Taoist Association is located. Take a look at the couplet on the door of Xuandu: "Follow the road, but you need to work hard halfway; understanding is not far away, and if you want to reach the top, don't stop working."
We arrived at Nantianmen. It is said that this place is the boundary between heaven and man, hence the name "Nantianmen". This is also the best place to appreciate the beauty of Hengshan Mountain. Flowers in spring, clouds in summer, sun in autumn, snow in winter are all pleasing to the eye and the eyes. This is the last stop to climb to the top. Let us cheer up and enjoy the infinite scenery at the top of the dangerous peak.
Zhurong Peak is 1,290 meters above sea level. It is second to none among the seventy-two peaks of Nanyue. It is named after the main god of Hengshan Mountain, the God of Fire, Zhu Rong. "The height of Zhurong Peak" and "the depth of Fangguang Temple", " "The beauty of the Buddhist Scripture Hall" and "the wonder of the Water Curtain Cave" are both known as the four wonders of Hengshan. What you see now is Zhu Rongli, formerly known as Laosheng Hall. It was built during the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty. The existing buildings were rebuilt during the Guangxu Period of the Qing Dynasty. Zhurong Hall is not big. It has two rooms once you enter. It is built on huge rocks with granite walls and iron tiles on the roof. Most of them were cast in the Song Dynasty and are still smooth and stainless today.
Well, after visiting Zhurong Hall, your trip to Nanyue is coming to an end. I hope Nanyue Hengshan, this pearl of the South, will leave you with good memories.
