Gu Kaizhi was born in Wuxi, Jinling. Gu Kaizhi is knowledgeable and talented. People asked him about the landscape of Kuaiji Mountain. Gu Kaizhi said: "Qian Shan is a competitive show, and there are countless hardships to contend with. The grass and trees are covered in cages, like Yunxing Xiawei. " Gu Kaizhi often eats sugar cane, always eating it from the tail to the root. Someone was surprised, and he said, "It's getting better."

Gu Kaizhi is particularly good at painting, and his paintings are fantastic. Xie An thinks highly of him, because there is no one like him since ancient times. Every time he draws a portrait of a character, it is always wonderful. He once painted a portrait of Pei Kai and added three hairs on his cheek, which made the viewer feel particularly beautiful.
