What is golden root calligraphy?

The so-called vigorous calligraphy is the old, vigorous, steady and natural brushwork created by General Yin Chengfu, which has the effect of ink like vines. Also known as "Yin's vigorous brushwork"

Yin's calligraphy works, especially the cursive stippling lines, have the following three characteristics, regardless of length, thickness, straightness, falsehood and implication.

One is astringency. It is astringent, astringent and astringent, just like the epidermis of roots and vines. Like "leak marks" and "cone painting sand"

The second is strength. Vigorous, vigorous, vigorous, strong, very tenacious and powerful. There is a clear sense of "bones and muscles" and "vitality".

The third is iron. Dignified, prominent, vigorous, solid, full of three-dimensional sense and quality. The lines are tortuous, similar to Broken Hairpin.

General's books "Ode to a Hundred Trees", "Yongmei" and so on. They are all representative works using "vigorous brushwork".

Wei Shuo (Mrs. Wei), a female calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, advocated that the word "vertical" should be written as tough as "long live the withered vine".

Wei's motto, Yin Shiwu, Long live the dead vine, Xinzhi. In practice, General Yin successfully extended the brushwork of Long Live the Dead Vine to seven strokes: point, horizontal, left, press, fold, hook and pick. Sincerity can be said to be "Chinese characters on paper are engraved on roots and vines, and the brushwork is natural."

Yin can create "vigorous brushwork" for the following three reasons:

Never stop, practice makes you look brand new. Cai Yong, a calligrapher in the Eastern Han Dynasty, said in "Nine Potential": "Only the soft pen is strange." In the past 60 years, Yin has learned a lot from it.

Military practice, the pursuit of strength. Decades of military career has created Yin's resolute, open-minded and heroic character, and gradually influenced his calligraphy.

Root art inspires and inspires. Yin also loves the art of root carving, and was inspired by "root art Chinese characters" and came up with the idea of "replacing roots with pens".

I believe that the general will constantly improve the "vigorous brushwork" and constantly create unique and exquisite masterpieces, leaving a historical footprint on the road to climbing Mount Tai!
