Han Yu's anecdote allusions

Lead: Han Yu is the founder of China's "orthodoxy" concept and a symbolic figure who respects Confucianism and opposes Buddhism. I will bring you anecdotes and allusions from Han Yu. Welcome to read!

Kuchi buddhist nun

After Han Yu came to Chaozhou, he met a monk in the street one day. His face is fierce, especially the two fangs outside his mouth. Han Yu thinks this is by no means a good person and wants to knock out his fangs. When Han Yu returned to his office, the doorman brought a red envelope, saying it was from a monk. Han Yu opened it and found a pair of fangs, exactly like the monk's two fangs. He thought, I want to knock out his tooth, but I didn't say it. How did he know? Han Yu immediately sent people everywhere to look for the monk. After meeting and talking, Han Yucai knew that he was a famous monk and a learned man in Lingshan Temple in Chaozhou. Han Yu was ashamed to judge a book by its cover, so he quickly apologized to him. From then on, the two became good friends. In order to commemorate the friendship between Han Yu and Dadian monks, later generations built a temple in the city called Kouchi Temple.

Waterproof cloth

In ancient Chaozhou Hanjiang, the platoon leader had to carry Chinese fir and tie Chinese fir platoon. They jumped into the river for a while and climbed ashore for a while. Their clothes are wet and dry, and they often have abdominal pain and rheumatism. So they just work with bare arms and no clothes. Women who carry water and wash clothes by the river every day report to the government when they see the platoon leader naked. After the government negotiated, the platoon leader had to put on his clothes. Han Yu came to Chaozhou. After hearing about it, he went to the river to check on the platoon leader. Han Yu thinks that it is easy for platoon workers to get sick when they wear wet clothes all day. After returning to my office, he sent someone to the river to inform the platoon leader that he could tie the platoon leader and elbow without clothes in the future, just tie a piece of cloth around his waist to hide his shame. Later, this kind of cloth became the bathing cloth that Chaozhou paipaigong and farmers carried with them when they worked. Chaozhou people call it "water cloth".

a man of temperament

Han Yu is cheerful and open-minded and contacts with people. No matter whether the other person is rich or poor, his attitude remains the same. When I was young, I was friends with Meng Jiao and Zhang Ji. Their fame and status were not high. Han Yu did not avoid the cold and heat, and praised it in public. Zhang Ji finally got into the Jinshi and got an official position. Later, although Han Yu was a high-ranking official, whenever he finished his work, he chatted with them, feasted with them and wrote poems together, just like in the past. And he regarded those powerful people as slaves and stared at them disdainfully. Han Yu is very good at inducing and encouraging backward people. He stayed at home and was treated as a guest. Even if he can't have breakfast, he still doesn't care whether he is likable or not. He always took it as his duty to revive his reputation, educate and promote benevolence and righteousness. Nearly ten people helped orphans of close relatives and friends at home and abroad get married.

Li bu kai suo

Han Yu used to be an assistant minister in the official department. At that time, among the officials in the official department, Shilin had the greatest power, because the official department was locked before, and officials waiting for elections and appointments could not meet in the official department. After Han Yu took office, he released the lock and let the candidates in and out. He said: "people are afraid of ghosts because they can't see ghosts;" If you can see it, that person is not afraid of ghosts. "

The eagle is flying and the fish is jumping-all things in nature have their proper place, and they are happy there.

In the 14th year of Guangxu reign in Qing dynasty (1888), the word "flying kites and jumping fish" was carved on the Wolong stone at the back of the pavilion in Lianzhou Prefecture. Later, there was an inscription in regular script: "Han Palace is rare in the world, and it is loyal and kind to others, so that it can catch Yangshan and win the word" flying kites and jumping fish "in Tujia people's homes, so that it can be carved in Hanyu.

Kuamayinshan

When Han Yu arrived in Chaozhou, it happened that hardrain in Chaozhou was flooded, and the countryside was white. He toured outside the city and saw mountain torrents surging from the north, so he rode to the north of the city to see the water first and then the terrain, and ordered Zhang Qian and Li Wan to follow his horse closely, and put bamboo poles in every place where the horse passed as a sign of the dike line. When Han Yu inserted the dike line, he informed the people to build the dike according to the pole mark. Hearing this, people were very happy and flocked to the north of the city. Unexpectedly, when they arrived, they saw that a mountain range had been arched where the bamboo poles were inserted, blocking the flood from the north. Since then, there has been no flood here. There is a folk legend: "Han Wengong crossed Mount Mayin." This mountain was later called "Zhushan".

Drive away crocodiles

When Han Yu was demoted to Chaozhou as a secretariat, there was a river in Chaozhou at that time, and there were many crocodiles that ate people, which became a local disaster, and many people crossing the river were eaten by them. One day, another citizen was killed. Han Yu is worried that if crocodiles are not removed, there will be endless troubles. So Han Yu ordered the preparation of sacrifices and decided to set up an altar by the river to sacrifice crocodiles. After arranging the sacrifice, Han Yu shouted at the river: "Crocodile! Crocodile! Han came here as an official to benefit the people. You are here to make waves, and now you are allowed to take your kin out to sea in three days, which can be extended to five or even seven days. It is absolutely strict not to leave for seven days. " Since then, no crocodiles have eaten people in Chaozhou. People call the place where Han Yu worships crocodiles "Hanpu", the ferry is called "Handu", the big river is called "Han River" and the mountain opposite the river is called "Hanshan Mountain".

Dream Dan Dun Biography

When Han Yu was young, he had a dream. In the dream, there was a man and a roll of Dan bricks, and he was forced to swallow them himself. There was another person laughing next to him. He suddenly felt scared and woke up.

After waking up, Han Yu only felt as if something was choking in his stomach, and he could still remember a word or two, and his brushwork was extraordinary. After seeing Meng Jiao, I always feel deja vu. When I think about it carefully, I am surprised to find that the person laughing in my dream is Meng Jiao. This incident is recorded in Alien Biography and detailed in Longcheng Record. It is said that Han Yu's "writing style is not a book" after waking up. After knowing Meng Jiao, I seem to be familiar with him. I think I am laughing in my dream. "

The "Danzhuan seal" mentioned in the dream is the word of Taoist incantations, often written in cinnabar, and the strokes are cloud-shaped. Han Yu explicitly opposes Buddhist beliefs, but believes in Taoist panacea. As for the words of Taoist spells, I'm not really interested. There are two points about the appearance of "Dan Yin" in Han Yu's dream: the first is the nightmare caused by Han Yu's pursuit of literature. He pursues a unique calligraphy style, so he uses the common "Dan seal" in his dreams; The second possibility is to compare the taste of "ancient prose" advocated by Han Yu and others, and "Danzhuan" evolved from the font of ancient Chinese characters in Qin and Han Dynasties. A writer and thinker, his behavior and thoughts can affect his sleep, as the saying goes, "thinking day and night."

About this dream, Han Yu told people only after he was noticed, so he did not rule out additional ingredients. In the dream, Meng Jiao laughed while clapping his hands, which was encouragement, not ridicule. Probably Han Yu subconsciously wanted to have such a friend, so that after seeing Meng Jiao and having a close relationship with him, he naturally linked the dreamer with his close friend Meng Jiao.

Wrong appearance

Shen Kuo once recorded in Meng Qian Bi Tan that the world painted a portrait of Han Yu, small and beautiful, wearing a gauze cap. This is actually Han Xizai of the Southern Tang Dynasty. There was a portrait of Han Xizai painted at that time in the Northern Song Dynasty, and the inscription was very clear. Wenjing, Han Xizai, posthumous title, was called Han Wengong by Jiangnan people, so the world mistakenly thought it was Han Yu. Han Yu is fat and has few beards. From then on, Han Yu enjoyed Confucius, and Confucius temples in all counties painted Han Xizai. Later generations can't tell the difference, so they always think that Han Xizai's portrait is Han Yu.

Romantic nature

According to records, Han Yu indulged in excess, had many wives and concubines, and his sexual function declined greatly. He often takes an aphrodisiac. Many ancient aphrodisiacs contain sulfur, which is harmful to eat more. Han Yu listened to other people's suggestions, ground sulfur into powder and fed it to the rooster, and then ate the chicken when the rooster grew up, so that the rooster could absorb the toxicity of sulfur first, thus indirectly obtaining the aphrodisiac effect of sulfur, but he died here after eating too much. Song Gu Tao's "Qing Louis" records: "Changligong was quite fat in his later years, so he was able to get food; Stir porridge and rice with sulfur powder, spit chicken and spit people, do not cook, cook for a thousand days, called' fire spirit library', but "it was successful at the beginning and fatal at the end." "

Go back to the book

According to Li Zhao's Supplement to Tang Shi, Han Yu once went to Huashan with his guests. After reaching the top of the mountain, he found that the surroundings were steep and abnormal, and it was estimated that there was no way out. Write a suicide note in a panic and cry wildly. Huayin county, where Huashan is located, tries its best to save it.

Later, Zhao Wenbei, a centenarian from Shanxi, swam to the "land where Han Tui wrote books" and felt the anecdote of Han Yu, so he burst out laughing. Later generations inscribed "Zhao Wenbei, the weeping lyricist of Black Dragon Ling Han, smiled at North Korea for a hundred years". After the Qing Dynasty climbed this mountain, Li Bo showed another mentality between crying and laughing, and wrote a poem: "China is in danger. Han Lao cried, Zhao Lao smiled, and passed the message with a cry and a smile. Li Bo did not laugh or cry, but shouted on the ridge of independence. "
