What are the characteristics of Gaoyao Gong Xue?

Gong Xue, Gaoyao, is surrounded by a stone fence, and there is an ancient banyan tree on the left side of the gate for more than 300 years, which is lush and lush, covering the sky. Further inside, there are four tree archways, namely, "Wind starts from the mountain", "Water Dragon", "Confucian worship" and "True Religion", with Qingyun Road in the middle, and the Fairy Pavilion and Shengqu Square on both sides at the end of the road, connecting the entrance to the palace.

Gaoyao Gong Xue covers an area of 488 square meters. The first gate in Gong Xue is called Civilization Gate, and the second gate is the book "Nuogong". Under the three-hole bridge is Chi Pan, crossing the gate. Inside the door is Danyong, and to the north of Danyong is Dacheng Hall. The east and west sides of the front of the temple are corridors. Behind the temple are Zunjing Lock, Minglun Hall, Minghuan Hall, Xiangxian Hall and Jingyi Pavilion.

The fifth bay of Dacheng Hall is 23.5m, with a height of12.3m and a wooden structure. There are 36 big nanmu columns erected in the whole hall, with stone flower baskets as the base. There are 24 groups of bucket arches at the top of the column and 32 groups of bucket arches under the eaves. Except for the bucket arches on the lower eaves facade, two groups of bucket arches are laid in the middle, the second group 1 group.

The temple is tall and solemn, with a picture of a building carved, and its structure is rigorous. It is a magnificent ancient building, which retains the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and is a treasure of national art. Therefore, it has attracted the attention of government departments in past dynasties, and celebrities, dignitaries, people from all walks of life and rich children have also voluntarily donated money to repair it. In the west corridor of Dacheng Hall in Gaoyao, Gong Xue, a monument to the Ming Emperor is erected. These are six precious stone tablets of the Ming Dynasty, most of which were written by Zhu Houzong, Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty.

Among them, the higher one is the dizzy vertical tablet, and the title of seal script has the word "imperial system" "Imperial system" means that the inscription was written by the emperor.

The width of the Imperial Monument is 1. 16m, and the height is1.98m.. The inscription is a preface to "Respect and Proverbs" written by Emperor Jiajing in Ming Dynasty. Proverbs are proverbs It is a style with the same number of words, pays attention to neat rhyme, and its content is mainly exhortation and warning.

These inscriptions not only add cultural relics of Gaoyao Gong Xue for people to appreciate, but also serve as symbols of the Ming Dynasty.

Emperor Jiajing once paid attention to moral education and provided physical evidence, which has precious historical and artistic value for studying the calligraphy skills of Zhaoqing and Gaoyao stone carvings.

The last renovation of Dacheng Hall was in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty. Later, people reinforced and repaired Dacheng Hall, the only government-level learning palace in Guangdong, and many architectural experts came to guide it.

In this transformation, the statue of Confucius was once again erected in Gaoyao Gong Xue, and a large showcase was added to make the hall look brand-new.

Dacheng Hall is magnificent. More than 300 cultural relics are displayed in large display cases in the hall, which is dazzling and enlightening to future generations. In particular, the statue of Confucius, a great thinker and educator in ancient China, has been re-established in Dacheng Hall for people to admire. The corridor to the west of the hall preserves the Ming Dynasty stele gallery and stands a very precious Ming Dynasty imperial monument.

The overall architectural layout of Gaoyao Gong Xue retains the architectural style of Jiangnan in Ming Dynasty, which is a treasure of China national art and has good and far-reaching historical research value.
