The full text consists of 28 lines and 324 words, each of which is "floating like a cloud, charming like Youlong, ups and downs, endless changes", which has changed the simple and steady book style since the Han and Wei Dynasties and opened a precedent for beauty and convenience. It is magnificent and seems to be natural. The author's demeanor, temperament, mind and sentiment have also entered the work. The composition, structure and brushwork are perfect, which is his masterpiece at the age of 33. It marks that Wang Xizhi's calligraphy art has reached the highest level.
Later generations commented that "the font of the right army has changed. Its heroic spirit is natural, so it is considered to be a model from ancient times to the present. " Therefore, calligraphers of all ages called Lanting the best running script in the world.
