Freshmen from the School of Modeling of the Central Academy of Fine Arts will study in the Basic Department for one year. After passing the examination, they will be divided into oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, mural painting and experimental art for further study.
Professional courses in one academic year include: clay sculpture, sketch, calligraphy, line drawing, cognitive basis of design, anatomy and perspective modeling, color and creative basis. Eight courses are interspersed as required. The task of sketch teaching is to cultivate students to establish clear modeling consciousness, modeling concept and correct observation method, to establish active, keen, clear and complete modeling consciousness, and to master the formal laws of plastic arts.
