The Application of Islamic Calligraphy
Islamic calligraphy, as a writing form, is widely used in all kinds of works of art and daily necessities. In 2009, Dubai, United Arab Emirates established the world's first Islamic calligraphy center, aiming at promoting the development of modern Islamic calligraphy. Other works of Islamic calligraphy are mostly woven or embroidered and hung on tapestries as decorations on the walls of houses. In China, there are also calligraphy works written on paper and installed as main halls and couplets. Coins are also an important medium of expression, and ancient dinar gold coins are often written with quotations. After the introduction of ceramic technology into the Arab region, Islamic calligraphy often appeared on plates, cups, lamps, pots and other places with ceramic products.
