Kaolau (one of the founders of French landscape education) said in his speech at the 6th European Landscape Congress: "Landscape design is the most complex, difficult and comprehensive discipline in the world". The difficulty of learning this subject, including many subjects, is completely beyond Alexandre An's imagination. In order to truly understand the landscape education in France, Alexandre An changed from a university teacher to a student, and studied and studied with French students every day. Today, his book "French Landscape Design Thoughts and Education" systematically summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of French landscape education, and presents a generous gift to China landscape education. During the Sino-French Cultural Exchange Year from 2003 to 2005, Alexandre An did a lot of exchange work, organized more than 30 French artists and theorists to give lectures and exchange in China, and promoted the cultural exchange between Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and five French fine arts colleges, including the French National Nimes Academy of Fine Arts and the Paris National Academy of Fine Arts. Through communication, Alexandre An filled many gaps in China's academic research. For example, in 2004, Professor Henry of French National Academy of Fine Arts was invited to teach the black-and-white image processing technology of19th century at Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. In 2005, Alexandre An began to teach at the French National Academy of Fine Arts, teaching the cultural contrast and ideological differences between China and France, so that French students can better understand China.
