May Day Calligraphy and Painting Competition Activity Plan

Purpose of the activity: 1. Understand the importance of writing and painting, and cultivate calligraphy and sketching habits.

2. Understand the knowledge of Chinese calligraphy and painting and inherit Chinese civilization.

3. Set an example and improve students’ writing and painting skills.

Participants: All students in grades 6-9

Activity content: 1. The competition methods are divided into hard pen and soft pen, sketch and watercolor.

2. Requirements for writing and painting: neat roll surface, beautiful calligraphy and painting, reasonable font structure, and

standardized format.

3. Content requirements: The content of hard-pen calligraphy will be specified on-site on the day of the competition; the content of soft-pen calligraphy will be selected by yourself. Draw a picture and choose the content.

4. Selection method: Under the organization of the head teacher of each class, students in each class will conduct a preliminary competition within the class, and each class will select 5 calligraphy contestants and 5 painting contestants.

5. Competition time: 2 pm on May 6th

6. Competition location: Multimedia classroom

7. Winners will be selected and commended in the mid-term exam Awards will be given at the conference and the works will be displayed on the school bulletin board.

Note: Students should bring their own pens and ink, and the calligraphy competition will be held first, followed by the painting competition.

The May Day School Calligraphy and Painting Competition concluded successfully, during the event , the students are enthusiastic and active, and the judges are serious and responsible, and select the outstanding works of each class. After the calligraphy competition, each class became enthusiastic about practicing calligraphy, achieving the expected purpose of this activity.

Painting Competition:
