Whether the capital and mausoleum of Taiwu, the capital of Shang Dynasty, are in Neihuang and Liu Cifan has not been verified yet. According to historical records, after the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Shang Tang set its capital in Yanshi, and it lasted about 150 years until the Nine Kings of Taiwu. According to experts' appraisal, Yanshi's time as a business capital is also 150 years. Taiwu reigned for 75 years (see Chronology of Historical Events in China, Preface to Shang Emperor's Ancestral Monument in the New Song Dynasty), which is also called Taiwu's "seventy-five years of subjugation", while Zhong Ding reigned for only ten years. From this perspective, there is a gap of about 60-70 years between the ninth king and the eleventh king.
Did King Taiwu move the capital from Yanshi to Neihuang in the later period? As far as the capital of Shang Dynasty is concerned, there are more than 30 kings in Shang Dynasty, and the "capital" and "tomb" of each king have already disappeared in the passage of time, so we can't speculate according to the theory of Neihuang Capital. However, it seems an indisputable fact that Shang Zhongzong was buried in the southeast of Bocheng after his death.
The twelve scenes in the first volume of Neihuang County Records show "the misty rain of Shang Mausoleum", saying: "The remains of Mausoleum are blessed with ancient temple monuments, and misty rain." It shows that Zong Ling in Shang Dynasty was a dense forest with ancient monuments of Cooper a few years ago, filled with ancient style and faint royal spirit. There are many records about "imperial edict to ancestor's tomb" in County Records. Every time the dynasty changed, ministers were appointed to offer sacrifices, and the local officials offered sacrifices more grandly in the Spring and Autumn Period. County annals also record that "the ancestral tomb of Shang Dynasty is located in Fan Shi Village, southwest of Neihuang County12km.
The mausoleum is more than five feet high and is surrounded by dozens of Zhang Xu. The temple is behind the mausoleum, with five halls, a pavilion next to it and a monument in front. The largest stone tablet is the inscription and preface of Zhongzong Temple built in the seventh year of Kaibao (974), written by Hanlin Liang. According to the old man, no one counted all the "imperial sacrifices" in the forest of steles here, but it was a pity that they were used for other purposes in the 1950 s, and there were more than a dozen stone tablets and turtle seats left in the mausoleum. In recent years, the masses donated money to repair the main hall, rebuilt the fence of the cemetery, collected several lost inscriptions, and came to Chagen to worship the ancestors in an endless stream.
