Calligraphy platform period
I am also an art student. I am studying in the Academy of Fine Arts and will graduate soon. I began to learn calligraphy in primary school and fine arts in senior two (although I used to have a background in Chinese painting). I still suggest you learn to draw for several reasons: 1. In professional study, art training is much more mature than calligraphy training at present, and various art training institutions have a series of training systems for examinations. As long as you work hard, there is no hurdle. In calligraphy, one is the lack of mature exam-oriented training, the uneven level of teachers, and the unpredictable level of requirements of major schools. 2. In the cultivation of personal quality, although calligraphy can be cultivated, the premise is that you really calm down and practice calligraphy and feel the mystery. It is better to practice with a purpose, and studying art can improve your aesthetics subtly. 3. In terms of choice, art is also recommended. At that time, two students in our class chose calligraphy. At the time of single-recruit/school examination, basically a university will have a major related to art, and there are fewer choices for calligraphy. As far as the employment prospect is concerned, as long as I enter the university, I should choose design or something. Just like me, I also choose design. In college, you should take all your credits seriously so that you don't have to worry about your job. In the graduation season, I have received invitations from several companies. The most important thing is your interest. No matter learning art or calligraphy, you will encounter bumps in the process of learning, which is the so-called platform period. At this time, if you don't have an interest and perseverance to support you, you will be defeated by yourself. Therefore, your interest is the most important. But besides your interest, I still suggest you choose art, there will be many choices.
