Huang Tingjian was a famous writer and calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty and the founder of Jiangxi Poetry School. In his literary creation, he advocated "turning stone into gold" and "grasping the fetus instead of bones", that is, literary creation should be original in language and conception, as well as deep and broad. His literary thought occupies an important position in the history of China literature and has a far-reaching influence on later literary creation.
