Ye Shengtao said: "To practice calligraphy, one must write correctly and the other must write clearly. Besides being correct and clear, we should also pay attention to format and beauty. Finally, we must practice fast writing and practice fast writing on the basis of good writing, because fast writing is also the need of work, study and life. "
On this basis, Ye Shengtao further put forward some specific writing requirements: "(1) The pen is clear, horizontal is horizontal, left is left, and it is unambiguous at all. (2) Horizontal and vertical, not skewed, which is correct. (3) As far as a word is concerned, the distance between strokes must be symmetrical, neither too wide nor too crowded. It is necessary to measure the shape of each character, whether the radicals account for half or one third, the head and the bottom account for a few, and which stroke is the center and the phase is clear, and then write accordingly. The distance is symmetrical, not wide or crowded, and it looks comfortable.
