Beautiful prose about traveling to Chengdu with my father

The Spring Festival is here, and as agreed, our family of three went to Hanzhong to pick up my father and prepare for a self-driving trip to Chengdu.

We delayed our departure from Xianyang, and it was already afternoon when we returned to Hanzhong, so we simply stayed and went to pay homage to our mother with my father.

I got up at six o'clock the next morning, packed up, and set off. My father was chatting with his granddaughter Dudu all the way.

The journey went smoothly and we arrived in Chengdu just at noon. We were all hungry, so we simply went to a farmhouse in the suburbs to eat hot pot with local Sichuan characteristics - fresh peppercorn hot pot.

I joked with my father: "Dad, I'm thinking that we can also freeze fresh Sichuan peppercorns to make hot pot in the future. Not only should we put fresh Sichuan peppercorns in the soup, but we should also beat them into puree and mix them with fresh green and red peppercorns. With the peppers and dipping sauce, it is definitely a must-have."

My father smiled kindly and said, "This is good, you might as well try it when you get back."

Finally, we entered the city. First, arrange your accommodation and finish washing up. We have discussed the itinerary for a few days. On the same day, we went to visit Du Fu Thatched Cottage.

The father nagged his daughter on the way. When he was a teenager, he followed his father back to Sichuan. At that time, there were uncles and relatives...

Viewed the temple It was solemn and solemn, and I appreciated the profound culture of the Epic Hall. We stayed with my father for a long time at the Epic Hall... Naturally, we thought about how Mr. Du Fu wrote more than 200 beautiful poems in Chengdu, living in a thatched house that could be broken by the autumn wind, in a leaky environment. Du Fu left more than 1,400 poems, and he composed more than 200 poems in Chengdu for more than four years. Although he was hungry and cold, he was still worried about the rise and fall of the world. "Hearing that the Government Army Takes Henan and Hebei" was composed here. The poverty of material and the richness of creation show how rich Mr. Du's spirit is!

After leaving the Poetry and History Hall, we saw a small stream running between the buildings, connected by a small stone bridge. On the left side of the small bridge, there is a water sill across the stream; after crossing the small bridge, the Chaimen opens towards you. It fits well with Du Fu's poems of "adding a new water sill for fishing" and "the firewood gate is not straight and opens along the river". It seems that later generations were very careful when repairing Du Fu's thatched cottage. It’s no wonder that “Du Fu Thatched Cottage” is almost as famous as Chengdu.

Seeing things and thinking about people, imagine the scene when Mr. Du Fu greeted guests here or fished on the railing; imagine that Du Fu wrote in "Crossing the Luo Valley" "Twenty-one people entered Shu together, but only one person left the Luo Valley" Gu. When he said that the two girls were biting each other, he turned around and cried to Qin Yun. "A great writer full of ambition and compassion experienced the difficult situation of Shu Road. One can't help but lament the backwardness of transportation at that time...

After leaving Du Fu Thatched Cottage, we went to Jinli to eat snacks, and first of all, we had glutinous rice balls. I couldn't help but think of my early business partner in Chengdu. When I first came to Chengdu, he deceived me and said: "This Lai glutinous rice dumpling is a long story. First, the founder's surname is Lai...; secondly, Lai Tangyuan is made from long glutinous rice, round glutinous rice, millet, rice, corn... more than ten kinds of rice noodles, and is made according to the Lai family's ancestral mix. It has a thin skin and rich filling, and the soup is not muddy when boiled. The characteristics of non-stick (non-stick chopsticks, non-stick bowl, non-stick teeth). If you don’t go to Chengdu, you will never taste it...” I was immediately curious about the glutinous rice balls made from so many rice noodles, and I couldn’t wait. I want to eat glutinous rice balls. As soon as I came to eat, I immediately said: "Not only did you get a haircut, but you also got a haircut!" When I told my family, they all laughed.

Then we tasted the "Sad Cold Rice Noodles" with runny noses and tears, and the spicy "Husband and Wife Beef Slices".

After passing through the wide and narrow alleys of Jinli, we arrived at the Wuhou Temple. On the gate of the temple hung a gold-lettered plaque with the words "Han Zhaolie Temple". "Han" is the name of the dynasty Liu Bei founded; "Zhaolie" is the posthumous title given to Liu Bei after his death. When you come here for the first time, you will be confused. This is obviously the temple of Emperor Liu Bei of the Shu Han Dynasty, so why is it called Wuhou Temple?

Walking into the gate, there is a stele corridor on the left and right sides. These are the stele inscriptions left by literati and poets who came to Wuhou Temple to worship Zhuge Liang for thousands of years.

Among them, the most famous one is the "Three Wonders Stele". The writing is magnificent, the calligraphy is correct and the foundation is profound, and the engraving is strong and powerful, so it is called the "Three Wonders". Praising Zhuge Liang will last forever between heaven and earth like mountains and flowing water, and will last forever in the hearts of the people of Shu.

Walking through the stele corridor and entering the second gate is the corridor of civil servants and generals of the Three Kingdoms.

We went to visit Liu Bei’s tomb, also known as Huiling. The mausoleum is surrounded by towering cypresses. Compared with other imperial mausoleums, Hui Mausoleum is small and simple, not impressive enough.

Going around the pond filled with lotus flowers in summer, we arrived at Zhuge Liang Hall. A plaque with the name "Wuhou Temple" hangs on the gate. When I walked in, I saw on the walls of the temple were inlaid the front and back "Execution Guide" written by Yue Fei, a famous anti-gold general. The cursive fonts, vigorous strokes, and dancing dragons and phoenixes remind people of the heroic image of Yue Fei galloping on the battlefield. Under the cover of green bamboos and ancient cypresses, the simple Wuhou Temple looks solemn and solemn. In the temple, there are gilded statues of Zhuge Liang and three generations of his descendants.

The father habitually told his daughter about Yue Fei: "Yue Fei was a famous general who fought against the Jin Dynasty, but he was a little politically naive. He could not fully understand the king's intention of sending troops. If he did not stop quickly after regaining the lost territory, he would be wrong. The Jin soldiers continued to pursue and fight fiercely, so that Song Gaozong Zhao Gou issued twelve gold medal imperial edicts to urge Yue Fei to return. Yue Fei showed up with a general who was outside and refused to obey the order. The last generation of famous generals and loyal ministers were "unnecessary". He was convicted of treason and died tragically. What a pity!"

Chinese ancestral temples have always been dominated by the front hall and the back hall. Zhuge Liang is in the rear, which shows that he is much more respected by the people than Liu Bei. Therefore, although there is a golden plaque with "Han Zhaolie Temple" hanging on the gate of this temple, the people still call it "Wuhou Temple".

After leaving Zhuge Liang Hall, we visited the Three Kingdoms Memorial Hall.

After visiting the Wuhou Temple, the father habitually told his daughter about Wei Yan’s military genius. Especially his military strategy against Wei Yan: the light cavalry quickly left the Ziwu Road, sneak attacked Guanzhong, did not attack Chang'an, and quickly marched eastward to seize the Tongguan Fortress; the army left the Xie Valley, attacked the city and plundered the land, joined the light cavalry at Tongguan, and guarded the Tongguan Fortress. , understanding and regretting the history of blocking Wei army reinforcements, and lamenting that Wei Yan's talents were buried.

I think the wars of the Three Kingdoms have faded away in the years, and I lament those words: "The rolling waters of the Yangtze River are passing by, and the waves are sweeping away the heroes. Right and wrong, success and failure are all gone. The green mountains are still there, and the sunset is red several times." The white-haired fisherman on the Nagisa River is used to watching the autumn moon and the spring breeze. We are happy to meet each other over a pot of wine. Many things in ancient and modern times are all in laughter."

We spent a day visiting the giant panda base. The giant panda climbed up to the fork of the tree and slept lazily in the sun, looking so naive.

On the last day, I went to the back mountain of Qingcheng Mountain to see the secluded green mountains, the rushing water, the beautiful water curtains, the fresh air, and the whole family smiling... My father and Dudu walked in front, and my husband and I walked behind. External harmony. The happiness of a family flies in this harmony...

I saw my father walking over elegantly, looking at me with a smile and saying: "You will have a better temper in the future; don't work so hard; cherish it." Life, live gracefully." After saying that, the figure retreated...the kind smile became more and more blurred...the figure became thinner and thinner, turning into a wisp of smoke and disappearing...

I was anxious. I chased him all over the ground, shouting: "Dad, Dad..." I tripped and fell to the ground. I cried like a mess. Watching my father disappear, my heart was twisted like a knife. I wanted to get up and chase him. So soft, I got up with tears in my eyes. It turned out that I woke up on my mattress at home. It’s the fourth anniversary of my father’s death!

The year my father passed away, we agreed to go on a self-driving trip to Chengdu with him during the Spring Festival that year.

The result was that he broke the promise. On October 7, he suffered a heart attack and passed away. "Visiting Chengdu with my father" has become my eternal dream.
