The first type: Zhang Zhi can only make Cao Zhang, and this grass should be made by Wang Xizhi. Some people hold this view, such as Luo Junti, Xu Bangda, Tang Lan, Wang Jingxian and Zhang Guangbin. Most of them rely on old evidence, namely: (1) Ou Yangxun said; (2) Identification of Mi Fei and Huang; (3) Zhang Zhi's "an inch of paper is missing" recorded in Wei Heng's Four-body Book Potential, and "Bo Ying's adventure, no trace of it" recorded in Li Shimin's Biography of Wang Xizhi. Among them, only Mr. Wang Jingxian made textual research on the newly unearthed bamboo slips, and listed some wavy cursive bamboo slips as new evidence that "the Eastern Han Dynasty was a prosperous time for Cao Zhang".
The second kind: Zhang Zhi created this grass, but denied Wang Xizhi's theory of creating this grass. Based on this grass in quicksand, it points out that this grass "originated in the Western Jin Dynasty at the latest". Hu Xiaoshi holds this view. This theory provides new material evidence for Zhang Huaiguan's statement that "before the right army, there were countless people who could grow grass today".
Thirdly, Zhang Zhi is undoubtedly the founder of Cao Jin, which is a new style of calligraphy that appeared in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Guo Shaoyu [1], Shang Chengzuo, Ge Hongzhen and Ma Shixiao hold this view. Among them, Ge Hongzhen's Textual Research on the Window of Zhang, Ma Shixiao's A Book on the Window of Zhang and the Scholar's Post have made some breakthroughs on the basis of predecessors. First, it demonstrates the possibility of Zhang Zhi's writing this grass from many angles, such as the characteristics of Zhang Zhi's calligraphy "turning". Zhang Zhi's brushwork is "returning to the wrist" and he is also a master of pen making. Mi Fei's self-assertion that he "read a book with hoary heads, but there was no ink left by Wei" denied Mi Fei's evaluation of Zhang Zhi's Modern Grass. The second is to use a large number of unearthed modern bamboo slips and tomb bricks to prove the possibility of Zhang Zhi's creation of modern grass. Especially the latter, it is especially valuable and more convincing.
