The originator of regular script is Zhong Yao. Zhong Yao (151-230)[1][2], courtesy name Yuanchang, was born in Changshe, Yingchuan, Yuzhou (now Changge, Henan). He was an important minister of Cao Wei during the Three Kingdoms period and a famous calligrapher. He rose to the rank of Taifu and was given the posthumous title after his death. Said "Chenghou". Zhong Yao was quite accomplished in calligraphy, and together with Wang Xizhi, a calligrapher of the Jin Dynasty, he was known as "King Zhong".
