Because the residential complex of Sizhai is hidden in the west foot of Huiji Mountain, at the junction of Zhuji, Dongyang and Sage, it has never been paid attention to by people, which has become her first feature: little known. Secondly, due to the simple folk customs here and the cherish of the ancestral houses by the descendants of the Si family, these houses have been preserved so well. There have been cultural relics dealers who offered hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy a stone carving, and they were not tempted. Third, the four-house residence is different from the common one-house and one-garden, but surrounded by a high wall with many gardens. Among them, the main entrance of Fantai actually covers an area of12,500 square meters, and dozens of farmers live in harmony.
The most typical residential building here is Qianzhu House. It consists of eight quadrangles, ten large patios and thirty-six small patios, with a width of124m and a longitudinal depth of 60m. * * * There are more than 12 1 room, 1200 columns, so it is called "Thousand Pillars House". Not like a private house, but more like a village. This house was built by the mountain man Si Yuanru. At that time, he had vast mountains and forests. Because of his strong financial resources, he kept buying land as far away as the county seat of Zhongtutian and the mountainous areas of Dongyang and Shengxian. Although Si Yuanru is a very rich man, he donated thousands of dollars to help the people in Jiaqing, and started to build an examination room in Daoguang with two thousand dollars to catch up the exam. Emperor Daoguang gave me a plaque, praising it as "a hungry household with 100,000 people won't let Yitian Changde, and the bachelor of Rong 24 townships called it a building tree". Daoguang intends to build a "charity workshop".
Brick carvings, stone carvings and wood carvings can be seen everywhere in the ancient buildings of Sizhai, with exquisite craftsmanship and high artistic value. There is a brick sculpture "Hundred Horses" on the main hall of this Qianzhuwu, which is composed of ***2 1 blue brick relief with a width of 30cm and a length of 34cm, with a total length of 7.20m.. However, you only counted 67 horses. These horses sit, lie, run or settle down. Even the herdsmen above brush horses, rest, smoke, sleep and sleep with different expressions. The background is lined with birds, animals, trees and mountains, which is a grand view. Why is this art treasure "Hundred Horses Map" less than 100 horses? Whether the artist died or deliberately concealed the real kung fu is still a mystery.
Across the stream from Qianzhuwu is Shangxinwu, which was built by Si Yuanru's younger brother Si. Later, in Qianzhuwu, it was called "new house". The overall width is 67.80 meters, the longitudinal depth is 49.70 meters, and it covers an area of more than 3,300 square meters. The stone and wood carvings in this room are very beautiful. There are many suitable carvings on doors, windows, beams and walls, and even brick carvings are pressed on the horse head wall. The stone fence next to the fish pond is also full of carvings. There are three brick-carved gatehouses in Shangxin Building. The main entrance is engraved with the words "flourishing age is thinking", and there are exquisite floral figures carved around it. "Xing in Si" was written by Mi Yuanzhang, a calligrapher in the Song Dynasty. On the plaque of Yuelu Academy in Hunan Province, it says, "Only Chu has material and prospers in Sri Lanka". However, the four-house people used it as a plaque of the four-house. Apart from the original accident, it was more ingenious to embed the four surnames. Next to Xiaxin Building, it is 60 meters wide and 5 1 meter deep, about 3,000 square meters. Buildings, like through-carving reliefs, take wood carving as the highlight.
Like this, there are more than a dozen houses of 2000-3000 square meters, and many are small. I won't go into details here. However, it is worth mentioning that the Huaguogong Villa, located at the entrance of Sizhai Village, is a residential complex, which is actually a mixed courtyard of home, temple and school for future generations to remember the four. Ji Rong is a calm student and is willing to train talents for his country. He has always wanted to build a home school. Let the children drop out of school, but they can't fulfill their long-cherished wishes when they are old. His sons, Shi Zhipu and grandchildren, built this school for him and called it a "villa", as if he were still alive. This kind of ancient architecture, which integrates temples and schools, is rare in China. Because it was built at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain, it was renamed "Xiangshan Shu Min". Today, on the wall of Zhongting Mountain, there are still 10 stories about students studying in Huaguogong Villa during Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. There is a log, which is what school XXX was admitted to and what official newspaper XXX was admitted to. For example, an official newspaper on the East Wall published a juror named Kang Ming. The whole building was built in the Qing Dynasty, with three bays and three entrances, covering an area of 1.800 square meters. There is a half-moon pond called Chi Pan in front of the entrance hall. Ponds have always been round or square, and the half-moon shape is not only rare, but also can't be built without permission. There are several large stone carved windows embedded in the wall in the house, which are rare works of art. A dealer of cultural relics once offered hundreds of thousands of yuan each, but the people in the house refused. There is a pavilion in the courtyard of the wing. At that time, all the written papers should be burned in this newsstand. Don't throw the written papers around, which shows that knowledge and efforts for knowledge are respected.
"Qianzhuwu" is located in the east of Siban Village, Sizhai Township, 30 kilometers from Chengguan Town, Zhuji. Built in Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, it is the private residence of local tycoon Yuan Ru. Covering an area of more than 6,900 square meters, it has 1 18 rooms, 32 lanes and 10 patios. The quadrangles in 10 are named "Shuanghuaitang" and "Shuangguitang" respectively, each with its own rules, and the courtyards are connected by verandas, extending in all directions, making the whole building seamless. The mansion has nearly a thousand pillars, hence the name "Thousand Pillars House".
This huge house has exquisite architecture and exquisite craftsmanship. There are five gates, and the embossed seal script written by Mi Yuanzhang is engraved above the gates. The other four doors are decorated with brick carvings, which are meticulous and organized, and the content is mostly historical stories. Dozens of windows around the house are carved with bluestones, flowers, birds, insects and fish, which are lifelike. The doors, windows, columns, beams, brackets and other carvings in the house are gorgeous, all from the hands of folk builders, making Qianzhuwu a treasure of folk architecture carving art.
The White Horse Map located on the wall of the main courtyard is composed of 2 1 square bricks with a total length of 704 cm. Among them, the carved horse looks like a god, with different characters, and the painted landscape trees are meticulous and natural. Dry or glorious, simple or complex, virtual and real, rigorous structure, is a rare artistic treasure of brick carving.
