Teacher Sommus Wei from Sommus Wei.

A black plaque hangs high in front of the entrance hall of the teaching building in Wenshan School, Gaolan County. This plaque is a 60-year historical testimony of Wenshan School, a portrayal of the life of teachers who worked hard in this hot land, and a regretless memory of students who walked out of this barren but memorable land.

In April, 33 (1April, 944), a 63-year-old man, with a pair of trembling handwriting, wrote four characters: "respect for work and joy". From then on, these four words appeared in the newly-built school in the form of plaques, which became the motto of Wenshan School. This old man is Mr. Sommus Wei, the founder and old educator of Wenshan School.
