Peking University Calligraphy Art Research Institute was established in June, 2003165438+1October, which marked the first time that Peking University defined the subject of calligraphy art and introduced it into its education system. Peking University Calligraphy Art Research Institute is advised by Ji Xianlin, Ren, Tsung i Jao, Wen, and Ouyang, with Professor Jin Kaicheng as its director and Professor as its deputy director. Peking University Calligraphy Institute has passed the national unified examination, and enrolled master's and doctoral students in calligraphy at home and abroad. Since the establishment of Peking University Calligraphy Institute, it has actively carried out academic and artistic exchanges with foreign countries and held calligraphy art forums and calligraphy exchange exhibitions at home and abroad. Hold calligraphy exchange exhibitions between teachers and students in Japanese, Korean and American universities; Publishing calligraphy art teaching materials and publications; Opened the Peking University calligraphy art website.
It has injected extensive cultural and ideological resources into the field of contemporary calligraphy, which is of great significance to the development of contemporary calligraphy.
On the basis of a strong faculty of Peking University, Peking University Painting and Calligraphy Institute has hired scholars and calligraphers such as Ouyang, Li Xueqin, Wang, Wen, Wang, Ge Zhaoguang and other scholars and artists, as well as famous artists and scholars from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Britain, France, Japan, Korea and the United States to give lectures and guide the artistic creation activities of graduate students.
In the autumn of 2004, the first calligraphy art graduate class in Peking University enrolled 66 graduate students.
