Introduction of Xiding

Xiding, formerly known as Chen Maolin, born in Qionglai, Sichuan, 1933, is a national first-class actor. Former Vice Chairman and Secretary General of Shaanxi Branch of China Artists Association. 1953 graduated from Chengdu Art Institute (predecessor of sichuan fine arts institute).

Good at ink painting, comics and calligraphy.

Member of China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association and China Popular Science Writers Association. He is employed by the Ministry of Culture of China, a member of the jury of the 6th and 7th National Art Exhibition of China Artists Association, a professor of journalism department of Zhengzhou University, a member of the Comic Art Committee of China Artists Association, the editor-in-chief of the large-scale dictionary Art Linz and its sub-volume Comic Art Volume (1160,000 words) of Shaanxi People's Fine Arts Publishing House, a member of Shaanxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles and a member of the professional title jury.

His works have participated in the 6th, 7th and 8th National Art Exhibition and national exhibitions for many times, and have been exhibited in Japan, Singapore and China. It has been collected by China Yanhuang Art Museum, exhibition halls, galleries and individuals in the United States, Britain, France, Germany, South Korea, Singapore, Belgium, the Netherlands, Taiwan Province Province of China and Hongkong of China.

The mural "Chang 'an Treasure" painted for Xi government hotel "Xijing Hotel" is 25 meters long and 2.2 meters high.
