Original text:
It is not enough to retreat into the mountains. Only by reading thousands of books can you understand God.
Your family has its own yuan and feet, so don't be tired of asking people about chickens.
A piece of running script and two poems, and then a good beard is as silky as silk.
When you are eager to preach family law, what you want to see is the sincerity of the pen.
People who practice calligraphy should read more books, and if the books are read well, the characters will have lasting appeal; Write tastefully, even if you practice with a rotten pen, you may not be able to write something good. Everyone's calligraphy has his own style. Don't blindly learn from others just because your own things are not good. I wrote two poems and sentences on a piece of paper and gave them to the old man with silky sideburns. How can it be regarded as family calligraphy? Just read it again and write it again.

The origin of creation
"Liu Er's nephew", whose long name is Liu Bi, is the son of Su Shi's sister-in-law and the grandson of calligrapher Liu Jin. The Liu brothers are "very talented and interested in learning" (Preface to Poetry by Huang Tingjian), and they asked their uncle Su Shi for handwriting, which was given by the two prime ministers in their quatrains. This is the first one.
One day, Dongpo's second nephew, surnamed Liu, came to Dongpo's house and asked Mr. Dongpo for calligraphy, so that he could copy and practice calligraphy. Mr. Dongpo immediately wrote a poem to persuade him to learn Liu Ti well first. Looking at the whole poem, the first two sentences are easy to understand, which is nothing more than telling him to practice and read more.
Su Dongpo told his second nephew that the Liu family had a calligrapher Liu Zongyuan. He inherited the mantle of Liu Ti and made new progress. That's your own Liu's baby (domestic chicken). Don't dislike this treasure. Learn "Yuan He Jiao" first, and then ask other calligraphy styles.
