Xing Dong's cursive script and seal script are wonderful. He is good at cursive script. In his later years, he was especially good at Cao Zhang. At that time, it was called "East-South Prosperity" with Dong Qichang, and "Zhang Xing Mi Dong" with Mi Wanzhong. But artistic creativity is far less than that of Dong Qichang, Zhang Ruitu and Huang Daozhou. Xing Dong's strength is that it was rare in the past, and his masterpieces were mostly temporary works. His works are various, especially cursive, because the mud is not ancient and lacks individuality. He was very disgusted with the madness of calligraphy in the late Ming Dynasty, and his imitation of ancient calligraphy was a warning to these poor calligraphy, which was also the historical value of calligraphy. There are four books handed down from generation to generation, such as Zhi Tie, Lun Shu, Ancient Poetry Volume and Linjin Rentie. Besides the Palace Museum, today's London Museum, Japan and Southeast Asian countries all have their books.
