The old streets in the town crisscross, including Shantang, Xiatang, Xiasha and Zhong Shi Street. After vicissitudes of life, the style remains the same. The old streets in Gu Xiang are full of deep houses. Muguang River and other rivers in the town are vertical and horizontal, with small bridges and flowing water, simple and quiet. Some ancient bridges on the Yangtze River, such as Wang Jiaqiao, Xie Qiao, Zhuixiang Bridge and Hongqiao, have been rebuilt several times, and some survived the robbery. Together with the continuous stone revetment, they form the ancient waterscape.
Mudu is also the hometown of handicrafts. Yuan Yuchang, a famous clay sculptor in history, Zhu Bishan, a silversmith, Lu Zigang, a famous jade sculptor and Shen Shou, an embroiderer, are all treasures in the collection.
The profound historical and cultural heritage makes Mudu full of infinite charm. Mudu is known as the "hometown of gardens". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were more than 20 private gardens in the town. Up to now, there are still many classical gardens such as Yan Jia Garden, Gusong Garden and No.2 Mansion, which have become various museums.
Yin Hong Mountain Residence is a famous private garden in the south of the Yangtze River during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. Its "beautiful mountains and clear waters, beautiful flowers and trees in the pool pavilion" is far superior to other gardens. After six trips to the south of the Yangtze River, you will go to the Yin Hong Mountain House in Mudu, abandon the boat and go to the park to see the play. Yin Hong Mountain Residence is a combination of Xiuye Garden and Xiaoyin Garden in Ming Dynasty. At the end of Qing Dynasty, Xiaoyin Garden was the former residence of Shen Shou, the "Queen of Embroidery", and Xiuye Garden is now the collection hall of Mudu imperial edict.
Gusong Garden, named after a Luohansong tree in the Ming Dynasty, has a history of more than 500 years. It is the former residence of Cai, a rich man in Mudu in the late Qing Dynasty, with a compact layout and well-preserved. The brick carving gatehouse is profound in carving and has both form and spirit; Gu Song's rafters are engraved with eight pipas, which is a metaphor for the "Eight-tone Festival". This style is unique in Jiangnan garden architecture. Phoenix Tower is an early work of Dongshan Carved Building, and its architecture and carving art are exactly the same. The back garden is small, elegant and charming. Stop at the double-decker promenade, you can watch the emerald green of Gu Song at close range and overlook the scenery of Lingyan Mountain, which makes people think. To the west of the back garden is the Yao Jianping Embroidery Art Museum.
2. Zhujiajiao Town, located in Qingpu District, Shanghai, flourished in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and is one of the four famous cultural towns in Shanghai. Zhujiajiao is surrounded by a river, narrow alleys, mottled and slender stone strips, and quaint and old windows outline a faint feeling of water town.
There are many bridges in Zhujiajiao, and jiefang bridge is the landmark of the ancient town. Compared with those delicate small stone bridges, it looks tall and majestic, and it can be seen from the top of the bridge. The river here is also a little wider, and cruise ships pass by from time to time under the bridge. From time to time, people buy small fish and shrimp from local people and make a wish to release them. Not far away, some people are salvaging fish to be released again. I wonder if the fish are tired of this game? Of course, sincerity is the spirit.
In a quiet and quaint town, walking on a clean stone road by the river, surrounded by graceful weeping willows, sometimes an awning boat carries tourists across, and you can clearly hear the sound of the boatman paddling gently. When I was quietly enjoying the water town, I felt that the town was also appreciating me. Ordering one or two dishes in a small shop and watching the boat slowly shaking on the water feel very relaxed. Ruby swayed by the water near the stone bridge, and the black tile and white wall precipitated an ancient smell. On the surface of the long pole, the water waves are rippling and the trees are shaded, which is a state of mind far away from the hubbub.
The path is a stone road, and the houses on both sides are white walls and tiles. The alley was quiet, and the sound of a radio came from the door left unlocked. Singing Suzhou Pingtan, I took a look and saw a small semiconductor on a sauce-colored dining table, and an old hand rubbing an old temple on the chair next to it. The afternoon sunshine quietly falls on the half of this alley, and my shadow walks in front.
Because it is not a holiday, there are not many tourists in the ancient town, and my trip is a bit lonely, but because of loneliness, I have freedom, freedom of walking and freedom of imagination. As the sun set, I didn't want to stay, so I waved my hand and said goodbye to the balcony and waterside pavilion.
3. Pingle Ancient Town, Qionglai City, Sichuan Province, tells the story of "Phoenix Seeking Phoenix" in Sima Xiangru and "Danglang" in Zhuo Wenjun selling wine. For example, Jiang Cheng practices, bamboo rafts on the river compete for water, the mountains and rivers on both sides of the river are beautiful, and the diners in front of the white foam riverside restaurant are like clouds, and the business is booming. With the shadow of the river wind and bamboo, it is really a pleasure to taste the dishes of burning blood, braised tofu, dried bamboo shoots, stone mill tofu brain, wild vegetables and old bacon in the ancient town.
