Introduction to Lu Futing

Banseng, a native of Biyang, Henan, was born in 1911. He graduated from the Peking Academy of Fine Arts and was taught by Xu Yansun, Chen Yuandu, and Guan Pinghu. Li Gonglin, who also studied landscape, was a master of Fa Juran, Zijiu, and Zhonggui. Try to draw a scroll of thousands of miles of Shu Road, with dangerous passes and dangerous stacks, and mountains and rivers listed. After going to Taipei, he served as a resident member of the Aesthetic Education Committee of the Ministry of Education and the director of the art section of the Taiwan Art Education Center. He successively taught at Taipei Normal University, Art Institute of Cultural University, Art College, and Taichung Normal School. Tutor of the Painting Society, executive supervisor of the Calligraphy Society, and honorary director of the Art Association. He is good at ink painting and specializes in landscape. He won the first Sun Yat-sen Literature and Art Award in 1965 and the Special Contribution Award for Cultural Construction from the Literature and Art Foundation in 1988. He is the author of books such as "The Origin of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy" and "Critical Biography of the History of Chinese Painting".
