It is located in a pine forest of about 70,000 square meters on the top of Dongshan Mountain in Hailin City. In July 1970, it was built in memory of the reconnaissance hero Yang Zirong and other martyrs who died in the battle against bandits during the Liberation War. Yang Zirong is the prototype of Yang Zirong in the Peking Opera "Taking Tiger Mountain by Wisdom". The Yang Zirong Martyr Memorial Hall is located among the green pines and cypresses of the Dongshan Martyrs Cemetery in Hailin City, Mudanjiang City. It was built to commemorate the famous reconnaissance hero Yang Zirong. It was officially opened on April 5, 1981. The Martyrs Memorial Hall displays pictures and relics of the martyrs' life stories. The hillside behind the memorial hall is the Martyrs Cemetery, in which stands the Martyrs Monument. The monument is 8.1 meters high, symbolizing the "August 1st" Army Day. On the front of the monument are the seven characters "Revolutionary Martyrs Monument" written by calligrapher Zou Wenxiu. The names of Yang Zirong, Malutian, Gao Bo and 165 of Yang Zirong's comrades are engraved behind the monument. The monument is made of granite and is surrounded by stone corridors and iron cables. It is solemn and solemn. 20 meters behind the monument is the tomb of martyr Yang Zirong. The stone in front of the tomb is made of granite and is 3.1 meters high. It symbolizes that martyr Yang Zirong was 31 years old when he died.
