People say that "rare treasures are in the Forbidden City, and there are more than three halls of folk treasures". Sanduo refers to many blessings, long life and many children. More than three museums have been built in Cao Family Courtyard. The museum displays: First, the "History of Cao Family's Economics and Business", which mainly reflects the process of Cao family's development from entrepreneurship to glory and decline; The second is the "Ming and Qing Furniture Exhibition", which displays more than 4 pieces of Ming and Qing furniture with complete varieties and high grades; The third is the "Porcelain Museum", which displays nearly 2, pieces of porcelain, large and small, and dazzling; The fourth is the "Treasure Hall", which contains many treasures of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The national treasure of the Qing Dynasty, the golden locomotive clock, is a tribute from France to the Qing Dynasty. It is made of yellow, white and Ukrainian gold, weighing 42.25 kilograms. It is inlaid with a clock and barometer, and it can travel along the track when it is wound. When the golden train is running, the power generated drives the hour hand, minute hand and second hand of the train clock, but the hands move every minute. This national treasure was Eight-Nation Alliance's invasion of Beijing during the Gengzi period. When Empress Dowager Cixi fled to Xi 'an, she passed through Beiguang Village. Because of insufficient travelling expenses, she borrowed hundreds of thousands of taels of silver from Cao Jia. After the Empress Dowager Cixi returned to Beijing, because the royal family was in deficit, she was unable to repay her debts, so she gave the valuable royal treasure, the golden locomotive clock, to the Cao family to pay off her debts. However, the folk still left a saying that "Admiralty is now the Empress Dowager Shang Xiao, and how can the Cao family go north without it?".
besides the golden locomotive clock, the Cao family also has three time-telling treasures, such as guinea fowl, ship clock and monk clock. The guinea fowl is inlaid with pearls, and the comb is made of night pearl, which shines at sunset. At 6 o'clock every morning, the guinea fowl wakes up at dawn, flapping its wings and "oh-oh-"to wake up the Cao family and tell them that a new day has begun. The ship clock is also made of pure gold and looks like a ship. Its length and height are all about 5 cm. Although the monk clock is made of pure copper, its workmanship is exquisite and ingenious. When the dial time points to 1 o'clock, a naive and lovely monk comes out and knocks "when-"; At 2 o'clock, two monks knocked twice; At 3 o'clock, three monks knocked three times ... and so on, which was very interesting.
In the Treasure Hall, Chou Ying, a great painter in Ming Dynasty, copied Zhang Zeduan's Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival in Northern Song Dynasty. The scroll is 7.74 meters long and .45 meters wide. There are 1643 characters, 28 livestock, houses, boats and plants on it. It reflects the prosperous social features of Kaifeng, the capital of the Song Dynasty, and the towns along the Bianhe River. There are both wealthy businessmen and street vendors in the picture; There are towers and bridges, as well as boaters and passers-by, and even Mr. Zhugua can see them. Vivid and realistic, the value is connected.
The "1-year-old Screen" is 3.8 meters high and 5 meters wide. It is inlaid with 92 marbles with natural patterns and placed in the hall. There are five screens, with five large glass mirrors on the front. The top is carved in the shape of a cloud, which is light and soaring. The base is a cornerstone, thick, firm and calm. The most exquisite is the sculpture of a pair of little lions in mahogany on both sides of the screen. The lion's mouth above contains ribbons, and the lion's feet below pedal colored balls. A pair of little lions are playing with their heads up and tails out, which is lifelike and exquisite. Behind the screen, there are 1 different glyphs of "Shou" carved up and down, and in the middle are excerpts from the aphorisms of 17 ancient scholars written by Qi Juanzao, the "three-generation emperor" of the Qing Dynasty. It is said that this screen was a gift from Kong Xiangxi to Chiang Kai-shek. Jiang liked it very much and accepted it happily, but he couldn't take it away at the moment. He hasn't even enjoyed it for a day until now!
speaking of the treasures of the Cao family, cabbage is the most amazing. Cabbage is white and green, it is carved from a whole piece of jade, and there is a lifelike slug lying on it, which is natural and eye-opening. This Guo Guo seems to be a barometer. It hides in the leaves of Chinese cabbage on cloudy days, slips out of the leaves of Chinese cabbage on sunny days, and can keep barking. Guo Guo is not artificially inlaid, it comes from a piece of pure natural jade with cabbage. You say it, is it strange?
In Sanduotang House, there is still a treasure: feather mirror landscape painting. Green mountains and green waters, the whole picture is saturated with the warm and soft breath of spring. It is made by pasting the back feathers of a very precious kingfisher in Vietnam. It is said that ancient women made ornaments with a little kingfisher feather and attached them to earrings, which were very precious. The Cao family actually painted a mirror with this bird feather, and its preciousness can be imagined! After more than 2 years, this painting is still as bright as new. It's really a peerless treasure!
The mother-of-pearl inlaid shell mirror is carved with natural shells with folk auspicious patterns and "Fu Lu Shou" Samsung. When you choose to watch it from different angles, it will show different colors. The tour guide said that if you see red, you will be lucky; When you see pink, you have to take the peach blossom luck; And yellow indicates that you are going to get rich ... Before the tour guide finished, everyone scrambled to watch the shell mirror.
