This monument is about 2.5 meters high, and the head of the monument is a light carved figure with a flag crossed on both sides. Because there are stones with flowers, the outline looks like the national flag and military flag of the Republic of China. The upper part of the monument is fractured, and there are obvious adhesion marks along the cracks. The monument is still a traditional Eight Immortals monument, with the words "Martyrdom Monument of Lieutenant Colonel Shi Tian in the history of Fufeng" and "Title of Yu Youren", as well as a list of fine print. The monument was erected in March of the 37th year of the Republic of China. In the thirty-seventh year of the Republic of China, AD 1948.
The commemorative inscription on the Yin tablet was written by Wen, the former owner of Fufeng County Courtyard in Shaanxi Province and the director of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Finance during the Republic of China, and written by the book Chengcheng Party History. The inscription tells about the life experience and sacrifice of lieutenant colonel officers of the National Revolutionary Army, as well as the history of the people who helped the wind. It turns out that Shi was killed in the famous battle against bandits in Wu Shan.
According to the inscription, Shi joined Zhenshou Mountain Department of Shaanxi Revolutionary Army in the summer of 1926 as the battalion commander. 1May, 928, Li Ziping, a bandit stronghold in Lianke, was led by Wang Youbang, a bandit from Wu Shan who had been troubled by Zhen Shoushan and Baoji for four years. When he was about to attack the bandit nest, he was hit by a stray bullet and was injured. He had to retreat to a village for treatment. Unexpectedly, during the treatment, an escaped bandit suddenly broke into his village and searched and robbed from house to house. He knew that serious injuries would be found. "You knew it was inevitable, but you ate the medicine to death." He committed suicide by taking medicine. When the situation was extremely critical, he resolutely took poison and died, indicating that he would never fall into the hands of bandits alive. He was only 3 1 year old when he died, leaving a son, Shi Keming. 1948, Shi's son, grandson and grandnephew erected a monument for him in Fufeng, his hometown. Yu Youren, a great calligrapher in the Republic of China and then president of the National Government Supervision and Inspection Institute, wrote an inscription.
It is not the first time that Yu Youren wrote epitaphs for revolutionary martyrs born in Fufeng. 1920 wrote an epitaph for Dong Zhenwu, a general of Shaanxi Jing Guojun. There are 10 epitaphs, which are still preserved today. According to the book "Wu Shan in West Town", Zhen Shoushan built a revolutionary memorial garden in Dongyue Temple, the county seat of Longxian County, buried the remains of the fallen soldiers and set up a monument to make a biography. Later, he personally wrote the Memorial to the fallen soldiers in Wu Shan.
This monument stands in the stele gallery of Chenghuang Temple in Fufeng County, and was inscribed by famous calligraphers and politicians in the Republic of China. The inscription reveals the details of the sacrifice of bandits in the historical days, which can be used as a supplement to Wu Shan's calligraphy inscription and Wu Shan's history of fighting bandits. It is very precious.
