Sima Yan (236 AD - May 16, 290 AD), courtesy name Anshi, was a native of Wen County, Hanoi (now Wen County, Henan Province). He was the founding emperor of the Jin Dynasty and was known as Emperor Wu of Jin in history.

Suo Jing (239-303), whose courtesy name was You'an. A native of Longle, Dunhuang (now Dunhuang, Gansu Province). A general of the Western Jin Dynasty, a famous calligrapher, and one of the Five Dragons of Dunhuang.

Liu Ling (about 221-300), courtesy name Bolun, was a native of Pei State (now Suzhou, Anhui) and a poet in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.

Pan An (247-300), also known as Pan Yue, also had the courtesy name Anren. A native of Gong County (now Gongyi, Henan Province), his ancestral home is Dapanzhuang, Zhongmu County, Henan Province. A famous writer in the Western Jin Dynasty.

Wang Dao (276-September 7, 339), also known as Maohong, also known as Along. Langya was born in Linyi (now Linyi City, Shandong Province). A famous politician and calligrapher during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, he served as an official in the Yuan, Ming and Cheng dynasties of Jin Dynasty. He was one of the founders of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Zu Ti (266-321), courtesy name Shizhi, was a native of Fanyangqiu County (now Laishui, Hebei Province) and a military strategist of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Xie An (320-October 12, 385), whose courtesy name was Anshi. A native of Yangxia, Chenjun County. A famous politician in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

Wang Xizhi (303-361, 321-379), courtesy name Yishao, Han nationality, was a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and was known as the "Sage of Calligraphy".

Ge Hong (284-364 AD) was a Taoist scholar of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, a famous alchemist and medical expert.

Tao Hongjing (AD 456-536), named Tongming, was born in Moling, Danyang (now Nanjing, Jiangsu) during the Liang Dynasty in the Southern Dynasty, and was named Huayang Hermit. A famous medical expert, alchemist, and writer, he is known as the "Prime Minister of the Mountains."

Tao Yuanming (352 or 365-427), named Yuanliang, also known as Qian, had a private nickname of "Jingjie" and was known as Mr. Jingjie in the world. A native of Chaisang, Xunyang. A great poet and poet from the late Eastern Jin Dynasty to the early Southern Song Dynasty. Gu Kaizhi (348-409), courtesy name Changkang, was erudite and talented. He was good at poetry, calligraphy, and especially painting. He was good at portraits, Buddha statues, animals, landscapes, etc. People at that time called him the three masters: painting, writing and infatuation. Gu Kaizhi's paintings were intended to express the spirit, and his arguments such as "imagination is wonderful" and "describing spirit with form" laid the foundation for the development of traditional Chinese painting.
