Li Jinbo's works

Li Jinbo's works have a wide range of themes and rich contents; Flowers, birds, fish, insects and birds can be cut when walking. The works are black and white, coarse and fine, which embodies the simple and bold personality of the working people. Incorporating modern ideas into the traditional paper-cutting method, it is not rigid and conservative, and is bold and innovative, forming its own paper-cutting artistic style, which is crude and refined, simple and implicit, with distinctive theme, ingenious conception and rich connotation, surpassing the planarization of folk paper-cutting and adding a three-dimensional sense. His works have participated in many exhibitions of various folk art works held all over the country. It is well received by artists and the masses. According to the word "Longevity" inscribed by Mr. Gao Dongyue, a member of China Calligraphers Association, The Picture of Celebrating the Eight Immortals' Longevity was exhibited at the 19th annual meeting of the Folk Arts and Crafts Committee of China Arts and Crafts Society, which was well received by experts. This picture was collected by Han Rongxuan Culture and Art Museum of Yunnan Province at the 2nd1China Yunnan International Folk Craft Forum Annual Meeting and Folk Craft Expo in 2006. The First Happiness, which was created at the 20th annual meeting of China Arts and Crafts Professional Committee, was collected by Shanxi Women's Federation. In August, 2006, the Propaganda Department, Education Bureau, Culture Bureau and Cultural Center of Gaomi Municipal Committee held a painting and calligraphy exhibition to commemorate the 60th anniversary of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, and invited them to exhibit "Dragon and Phoenix Becoming Lucky" and "Happy Year after Year", which were well received by the leaders of the Municipal Committee. His works, A Gift from Kirin and Precious Peace, were included in the book Folk Art published by Huaxia Culture and Art Publishing House. In September 2006, the first national youth culture and art exhibition "Knowing honor and disgrace, promoting harmony, welcoming the Olympic Games and being a civilized citizen" won the first prize. In April, 2007, China Paper-cut Art Expo and the 8th China Folk Art Mountain Flower Award were held, and the work Birthday of Eight Immortals won the bronze prize.
