Where do Nanshan stone carvings belong?

Nanshan stone carving is a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangxi Province.

There are Buddhist books and mantras written by Huang Tingjian, Shimen books written by Yan Qi _ Lin Chunze in Jiaqing period of Ming Dynasty, Hidden Dragon Cave, The Story of Hidden Dragon Cave, and nine inscriptions on cloisters.

Nanshan Cliff is separated from xiushui county City by a river. There are towering old trees and pavilions scattered all over the cliff, which is a good place to visit. More interestingly, on a huge flat stone wall with a height of 2.68m and a width of 2.28m, the word "Buddha" with a height of1.84m and a width of1.20m is engraved on the He Lin River. After thousands of years of wind and rain, this word still enjoys a high reputation in China calligraphy circle.

According to legend, Huang Tingjian wrote Buddha on this topic for a reason. In the early summer of one year, Huang Tingjian went back to his hometown to repair water and swam against the current. When we reached the south cliff near the grotesque rocks, the wind suddenly became steep, the grotesque rocks were rugged, and the ship was about to hit the rocks and sink. Huang Tingjian knew it was a strange rock, so he walked out of the cabin and bowed to the sky. After the worship, the waves immediately disappeared, calm and hidden, and the level was like a mirror. The passengers admired him and the ferryman was grateful. Huang Tingjian believed in Buddhism all his life. He thought, I am a compassionate Buddha, so why not use the power of Buddha to ward off evil spirits and benefit the people. So I took advantage of the topic "Buddha" on the boat. Because the ship was rocking and bumping from side to side, when the word "Buddha" was only written vertically, I suddenly found that the center of gravity of the whole word "Buddha" was slightly to the left. Huang Tingjian is a famous calligrapher after all. He held his breath and tried his best to make the last one stand a little to the right and saved the whole word. After writing the word Buddha, a string of Sanskrit was written in the left and right corners of the word Buddha, and no one has interpreted its meaning so far. When the ship approached the south cliff, Huang Tingjian had it engraved on the cliff.

Surprisingly, since Huang Tingjian wrote Buddha here, there have been fewer boat capsizing and raft capsizing accidents around Nanya. Later generations also said that Huang Tingjian was a satellite, and the Buddha's words on the topic naturally had the ability to subdue demons.

Although the "Buddha" on the cliff has been baptized by the historical tide of nearly a thousand years and the huge waves of river repairing, it still stands proudly on the rock and is friends with Nanya and River repairing. Look at the scenery of the south cliff and listen to the sound of repairing the river. Many cliff stone carvings in Nanshan are listed as provincial cultural relics protection units.
