In the 12th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty, the famous traveler Xu Xiake came to Lijiang at the invitation of Mu Zeng and spent 15 days in Lijiang.

Tian Yu liufang memorial archway

Tianyu Liu Fang archway, located on the side of the shogunate gate, was built in the Ming Dynasty. "Tianyu Liu Fang" means "going to study" in Naxi language. It is said that it was inscribed by Mu Gong, the Tusi of the Ming Dynasty, and was later supplemented by the chairman of the Yunnan Calligraphers Association. This is an important sign that the ancient Naxi people respected culture and education.

Zhong Yi memorial archway

Zhongyifang, also known as Zhongyifang and Lijiang stone archway, was built on the order of the Wanli Emperor of the Ming Dynasty and was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. 1reconstruction after Lijiang earthquake of magnitude 7 in 993. The plaque is engraved with the word "loyalty" given by Emperor Wanli, and it has the reputation of "Three Pagodas Temple in Dali and Stone Archway in Lijiang".

Wanjuanlou is the earliest library in Lijiang and even Yunnan, and it is also one of the representatives of China book collection culture. It has a collection of thousands of Dongba Scriptures, 100 Tripitaka Scriptures, six poems by Mu and many famous paintings and calligraphy. Known as "the essence of two thousand years' cultural heritage" and "the pearl of shogunate archives".

Damotang

The Palace of Protecting the Country, also known as the Back Room, is the palace where Tusi Mu discussed family affairs. There is a portrait of Tusi Mu in front of the temple, and a plaque inscribed by Yang Sheng 'an, a writer and leader of three gifted scholars in Ming Dynasty, which means "serving the country and defending the country".

Guangbi building

Guangbi Tower was built in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in Qianlong period. It's the gatehouse in the back garden of the shogunate. At that time, it was the banquet hall where Mufu Toast entertained guests. In the building, there is a photo exhibition of China Vu Thang-Guan Gong and the First Bay of the Yangtze River. "Lijiang Mansion Records" records "magnificent, called Jia Dianxi".

Yuyin building

The Echo Pagoda, also known as the Little Five Phoenix Pagoda, is modeled after the Five Phoenix Pagoda in Guo Fu Temple. It is the place where Mu Tusi received the imperial edict, and it is also the place for singing, dancing and feasting. There is a replica of the white sand mural "Tathagata" in the hall, and its artistic value is comparable to that of Yongle Palace in Ming Dynasty.

Sanqingtang

Sanqing Hall is the product of Mu Tusi's worship of Taoist spirit and the only Taoist view in Old Town of Lijiang. It is dedicated to the Taoist deities of Jade Qing, Shangqing and Taiqing, and it is a pavilion-style wooden structure with a pyramid roof and triple eaves.

Shizishan

Lion Mountain was called Huangshan in ancient times, and there are ancient buildings on the top. There are Old Town of Lijiang, shogunate, Baima Longtan Temple, Wenchang Palace, big waterwheel and other beautiful scenery at the foot of the mountain, which together with the Xiangshan Mountain by the Black Dragon Pool constitute an interesting scene of "the lion playing like an elephant".

Wangulou
