Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences, referred to as "Chengdu Arts and Sciences" for short, is a full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education.
The school was established in April 1999. In 2004, the School of Cultural Communication of Sichuan Normal University and the International Business School of Sichuan Normal University merged into the College of Arts and Sciences of Sichuan Normal University, which was approved as an independent college by the Ministry of Education. 20 14 May, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was restructured from the former College of Arts and Sciences of Sichuan Normal University and renamed Chengdu College of Arts and Sciences.
As of March 2023, the school has two campuses with more than 24,000 students; Secondary colleges 1 1, with 30 specialties. Full-time teachers 1600, and nearly 40% are double-qualified teachers.
1In April, 1999, the College of Literature of Sichuan Normal University and Chengdu Boda Vocational and Technical College established the Honghe Campus of Sichuan Normal University in Honghe Town, Longquanyi District, Chengdu, and established the preparatory group of the School of Cultural Communication of Sichuan Normal University.
In July 2000, the East Campus of Sichuan Normal University was established. In September 2000, the first class 108 students were enrolled in the name of "Honghe Campus of Sichuan Normal University". In September, the first class 108 students were enrolled in the name of "Honghe Campus of Sichuan Normal University", and three majors were set up: Chinese language and literature and cultural communication, foreign secretary, information management and computer application.
In April, 20001year, Sichuan Normal University approved the establishment of the School of Cultural Communication. At the same time, "Honghe Campus" was renamed "East Campus of Sichuan Normal University". In June, the former Longquan Campus of Sichuan Normal University was abolished, and 434 students of grade 2000 were merged into the School of Cultural Communication.
In September, students of grade 2000 majoring in English, Economics, Computer Science and Technology 159 from the International Business School of Sichuan Normal University (Enlide College) were transferred to the College of Literature and Communication. Retain the establishment of "International Business School", and all work will be managed by the School of Cultural Communication. In February 2003, the International Business School and the School of Cultural Communication were formally separated. In September, the International Business School was officially decoupled from the School of Cultural Communication.
