There are several ways to write the word shou.

Recently, at the art exhibition held in Gongshu District Cultural Center to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the founding of New China, many visitors were amazed by a long scroll called "The Picture of a Thousand Years of Life" created by Mr. Wang Guangyao, an old amateur painter. The volume is about 1 meters long. The author has written 1 "shou" characters with different stroke structures in the small seal script with neat strokes and beautiful roundness. Compared with various common "Hundred Days of Life", it shows its grand scale and majestic momentum.

According to Professor Liu Jiang, a famous calligraphy seal engraver who came to the scene to observe, there are about 15 correct ways to write the word "shou", which is recognized by the calligraphy circle and can be traced from ancient times to the present. However, in the realistic calligraphy creation, people have a good desire to live a long life, not only creating "longevity pictures", but even "longevity pictures". In these works, people often pay more attention to the artistic aesthetics and inner meaning of the works than the strokes of the words themselves. Mr. Wang Lao's intention to create this picture of a thousand years of life is precisely to wish the great motherland well.
