On Wei art

Wei, born in 1947, is from Xiguan Village, Pingxiang Town, Tongwei County, Gansu Province. Member of China Calligraphers Association, member of Gansu Artists Association, executive director of China Farmers' Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, and national second-class artist. He has served as the president of Tongwei County Painting and Calligraphy Institute.

Wei was born in a scholarly family and was influenced by his family since childhood. He studied Zhong Shaojing and Ou Yangxun's Dafa. Later, during my work in Tongwei County Cultural Center, I benefited from the guidance of the famous painter Li Wei. I not only learned calligraphy and painting, but also learned a lot from gambling, which laid a solid foundation for future calligraphy and painting creation.

Wei's calligraphers are ancient but not muddy, with their own schools, flourishing branches and strict statutes. Whether it's a fly's head in small letters or a cursive script, it contains the charm of Central Europe, and also refers to the charm of Han Wei Bei. Therefore, beauty is full of vigor and masculinity, and elegance is full of stone. His paintings are good at landscape flowers, especially Mei Zhulanju's "Four Gentlemen" freehand brushwork and meticulous landscape painting. His works strive to pay attention to the shape, melt into the pen, convey the spirit with meaning, image from the heart, splash ink profusely, vividly, poetically and vividly.

1994 Meiju Siping New Year Pictures was published and distributed nationwide; The Chinese painting "Sacrifice to a Mountain Village" won the Excellence Award of the 4th Art Fair in China. Calligraphy work 1992 has been selected into three national exhibitions in one year: the 4th National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition, the 5th National Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Exhibition and the 2nd Newcomer Exhibition. He has participated in many international book fairs and won more than 70 awards of different grades, and has been collected by tens of thousands of pieces at home and abroad. In recent years, his works have been carved into dozens of monuments by Longmen, Wuquan, Yingzhou, Daxiangshan and other scenic spots, and have been introduced and published by domestic and foreign newspapers for many times. 1984 initiated and organized the "Tong Wei Beijing Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition", which was finally exhibited at the China Art Museum, the highest hall of painting and calligraphy in China, at the end of 1992, causing strong repercussions. He also went to Xiamen, Shanghai and other places to perform calligraphy and painting, and was highly praised by Mr. Lu, a master of Chinese painting, as "magnificent, magnificent".
