Introduction of Jimei Scenic Spot in Xue Cun:
Jimei is the hometown of Mr. Chen Jiageng. "Jimei Learning Village" is the general name of all kinds of schools and cultural institutions in Jimei. Founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng in 19 13, it cost over 100 million before and after, and enjoys a good reputation in Southeast Asia. After decades of development, at present, the total construction area of Jimei Xuecun exceeds 100000 square meters, with more than10000 teachers and students. Learning villages include Xiamen Fisheries College, Jimei Navigation College, Fujian Institute of Physical Education, Jimei Teachers College, Jimei Finance College and other universities, as well as middle schools, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens and nurseries. In addition to the teaching building, there are auditoriums, swimming pools, gymnasiums, cinemas, hospitals, sailing clubs and so on. Large-scale, complete equipment, rare in China. Jimei Xue Cun was founded under the personal guidance of Mr. Chen Jiageng. Because Xue Cun's architecture combines Chinese and Western styles, it has become a symbol of Jimei. Aoyuan is located in Jiageng Park. Aoyuan, with an area of 8990 square meters, was designed and supervised by Mr. Jia Geng in 10, with a cost of 650,000 yuan. All-encompassing and profound, it is the panorama of natural history. The Olympic Garden consists of porches, monuments and Jia Geng's tomb. The 50-meter-long porch is a Chinese corridor with four directions. The two walls are inlaid with 58 bluestone carvings of historical figures, which are the essence of 653 stone carvings in the Olympic Garden. On the fence outside the entrance, there are 29 1 stone carvings, including 229 reliefs, 42 re-carvings and 20 shadow carvings.
In addition, there are calligraphy couplets inscribed by celebrities from all walks of life across the country. There are all kinds of original cursive calligraphy styles, excellent calligraphy and exquisite carving skills, which are the soul treasures of Fujian stone carving art. Jimei Liberation Monument is the main building of the Olympic Garden. This 28-meter-high monument symbolizes the victory of China Production Party after 28 years of struggle. On the front is the "Jimei Liberation Monument" inscribed by President Mao Zedong. Only once did Chairman Mao write the name of the Liberation Monument for a town. On the back of the tablet is an inscription written by Mr. Jia Geng himself. The base of the monument consists of four steps: 13, 10, 8 and 3. 13 was the peak year of his career, 10 was the year when he encountered difficulties, 8 was the eight-year war of resistance, and 3 was the three-year war of liberation. In front of the monument is a screen wall 7 meters high and 30 meters wide. There is a 12 relief in the middle, and maps of China, Fujian and Taiwan Province are embedded in the relief, which reflects Mr. Chen's longing for the reunification of the motherland. Around the wall is Mr. Wang's tomb. The tomb sits in the shape of a life-saving turtle, and the tomb cover consists of thirteen hexagonal green bucket stones.
The tomb is a "wind"-shaped shell, and the inside of the tomb is inlaid with 15 lapis lazuli reliefs, carving the first half of Mr. Chen Jiageng's life. The surrounding stone carvings record Mr. Wang's life of studying hard and serving the country sincerely. Mr Chen Jiageng passed away in Beijing on August 26th at the age of 88. 1988, Jia Geng's tomb was listed as one of the national key cultural relics protection units. Not far from the Olympic Garden, there is a "Home Returning Hall" with a bronze statue of Mr. Chen Jiageng in front. Chen Jiageng's former residence and life story exhibition hall are also built, which is an important patriotic education base.
1992, in order to fulfill Mr. Chen's last wish, the "Jiageng Park" was built on the beach in front of the Olympic Park. The park covers an area of 30,000 square meters, surrounded by a group of antique glass pavilions, located in Xieshan, with a total construction area of 5,500 square meters. It is more beautiful to be integrated with the Olympic Garden. It was completed on the birthday of Mr. Chen Jiageng in 1994 and 10, and was open to tourists.
