Ksitigarbha Sutra.
One: The Ksitigarbha Dharma is to read and recite the "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Vow Sutra", recite the holy name of Namo Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and act according to the Dharma as stated in the sutra. Obtaining blessings and wisdom and leaving suffering fully embodies Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's great spirit of eradicating suffering.
Two: The Ksitigarbha method can save people from great troubles. In the Ksitigarbha Sutra, the Buddha tells us that the number of people attending this Dharma gathering cannot be counted even with the eyes of the Buddha. These are all Ksitigarbha Bodhisattvas, and they have been around for such a long time. To save them from suffering and gain happiness. It shows that Bodhisattvas are not afraid of hard work. As long as they practice Ksitigarbha Dharma, Bodhisattvas will save sentient beings no matter how troubled they are.
Three: Ksitigarbha Dharma can save parents and family members. When Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was a Brahmin girl in her past life, her mother believed in evil and did not believe in Buddhism. At that time, the saint encouraged my mother to do good deeds, accumulate virtue, and have the right views. The Buddha told us that the most filial respect for our parents is to encourage them to learn the Dharma and be blessed, so that both parents can achieve holy fruit. And if we practice Ksitigarbha Dharma, our parents can also benefit from it, be liberated and happy.
Four: Ksitigarbha Dharma can prevent scholars from falling into evil paths. Some people make statues of Bodhisattvas and look at them and pay homage to them. This person will be reborn in the thirty-three heavens a hundred times and will never fall into the evil realms. The Buddha told us to worship the image of the Bodhisattva and stay away from the arrogant and self-conceited mind. Even if we are in the end of Dharma, we will not fall into the evil path.
Five: The Ksitigarbha method can achieve perfect appearance. Some people are more ugly than sick. Stand in front of the Ksitigarbha statue and pay homage with all your heart. That person's appearance has been perfect throughout his thousands of lives. The Buddha told us that if we learn from Bodhisattvas to endure humiliation and benefit all sentient beings, we will be blessed with good fortune and light.
Six: The Ksitigarbha method can protect scholars from all kinds of difficulties. In the Ksitigarbha Sutra, the Buddha said that there are people who can sing and praise in front of the Bodhisattva statue, make offerings of fragrant flowers, and persuade one person and many people to practice Buddhism. That person is often protected by hundreds of ghosts and gods day and night. He will not let evil deeds be heard by him, and he will not be harmed by any troubles.
Seven: The Ksitigarbha method can make people who have been ill for a long time recover quickly, and if the fate of the world is perfect, they will die quickly. In the Ksitigarbha Sutra, the Buddha said that there was a patient who stayed on the bed pillow for a long time, seeking life and death, and it was impossible. For the sake of patients, give away things that the patients love most, and teach them so that the patients know and are willing to give alms. The disease will get better soon. If the fate of the world is fulfilled, the person will be reborn quickly without suffering. After death, he will suffer from serious disasters and will never be freed.
Eight: Ksitigarbha Dharma can save our relatives and friends in previous lives, and can also keep us away from nightmares. Some people dream of ghosts and gods crying and lamenting. They are their parents, brothers, sisters, husband, and family members who were born in the past. They are suffering in the evil realm and have not been able to leave. In front of the statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva, we read this sutra or ask others to read it three times or seven times. Those who belong to the evil realm will be liberated after we read this sutra. And in our dreams, we will never dream.
9: Ksitigarbha Dharma can transform the humble into the noble. In the Ksitigarbha Sutra, the Buddha said that there are lowly people who must realize that their sins in previous lives are very serious, and they must devote themselves to paying homage to the image of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and even recite the Bodhisattva's name ten thousand times in seventeen days. After this life, that person will always be noble in thousands of lives.
Ten: Ksitigarbha Dharma can turn poverty into wealth. In the Ksitigarbha Sutra, the Buddha said: There are people who do not have enough food and clothing, who do not get what they wish for, who may suffer from many diseases, who may suffer from many bad fortunes, whose homes and homes are uneasy, whose dependents may be scattered, or who may have other misfortunes. There are many horrors in my sleep. As long as you do good deeds and recite the Bodhisattva's name ten thousand times, those unsatisfactory things will gradually disappear, and you will gain peace and happiness, abundant food and clothing, and permanent wealth.
Therefore, we can gain twenty-eight kinds of benefits through practice. We can use our good deeds to accumulate blessings to incorporate Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s selfless spirit of eradicating suffering, contribute to serving the society, and continue Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s spirit of eradicating suffering. You will realize the true result early. (Written by Fang Haiquan)
