Introduction to Zhang Chenggong

Zhang Chenggong, 1959, from Yinan, Shandong. Contemporary inkstone artists and masters of arts and crafts. I like to treat inkstone and art since I was a child. When I was a teenager, I studied in Wu Shanming and Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, and then went to the Central Academy of Fine Arts for further study. The tutor is Wei Zuyin, president and professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He studied under China artist Ye Lianpin and was affirmed and appreciated by many famous artists such as Zhao Puchu and Qi Gong.

Specializing in carving stones to cure cold and heat for 30 years, his works are mainly Lu Yan.

Linyi, called Langya in ancient times, is the hometown of Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi and Yan Zhenqing. The Art of War, which is famous at home and abroad, is also world-renowned. Zhang Chenggong treated inkstone to entertain saints, got to the bottom of it, integrated ancient and modern, collected calligraphy and painting as a furnace, lived in Zhuangzi, Fu Nan, hid his soul in nature and was good at ghost work.

1997 Three works for the return of Hong Kong were reported by Shandong Satellite TV.

More than 50 works have won national and provincial awards.
