the source of this couplet is unknown.

It's a small scene in a corner of the house and a corner of the garden, and it's quiet and interesting in Jing Ya.

"seal cigarette" refers to the wisp of smoke curling up when burning incense. For example, in Song Gaoguan's "Yu Jie Xing Fu Lian", there are words: "The sound of warblers seems to be separated, the smoke of seals is slight, and the shadows of love are uneven." In Yuan Wang Shifu's "The West Chamber", there is a saying: "The wind blows away the smoke, but the pear blossoms are closed in the rain."

"Golden Duck" refers to a duck-shaped incense burner made of metal. For example, in Dai Shulun's poem "Spring Complaint", it says: "The golden duck fragrance disappears and the soul is broken, and the pear blossom and spring rain cover the door."

"Jade Insect" refers to an insect hanging on a flower vine. It is called "Jade Insect" because it looks at the light and is transparent. The ancients also compared snuff or candlelight to a "jade bug". For example, Han Yu's Ode to snuff's Eleven Emperors: "There are golden millet in the yellow, and jade worms in the hair. Even more annoying will be a happy event to report the protagonist. " Fan Chengda's poem "Being a Child among Guests" says: "There are letters from home today, and last night snuff decorated jade worms." Lu You's "Yan Tang Dong Pians One Room to Read at Night" contains: "Oil reduces jade insects and dark, and gray crimson beasts are low."

Wang Weizhen's calligraphy enjoys a high reputation in the area of Jinmen, and he is also very confident. He once wrote a poem "Cursive Writing after Drunk", which says: "It is difficult to know the rules in a drunken grassland, and the land is vast. The bamboo root is half loose and thin, so put a long note on it as a word. Ambition can't dispel dust, and natural calligraphy can't care. At the beginning of the country, the old people called the fairy pen, but they don't believe it. "

In this couplet, cursive script is also used, and the characters are slightly inclined and broad, which makes it look solemn and elegant. The brushwork is free and easy, full of rhythm, although the words are not connected, but there is no lack of unrestrained charm, giving people a novel feeling.
